Interesting. Perhaps true. Perhaps not. Now replace 'Germans' with 'muslims', or 'Chinese', or 'Indians' or any non European group of people and you would have wokedom down on you like a ton of bricks with shrieks of 'racist', 'bigot' and (enter fake word followed by 'phobe'). Why is that? I genuinely want to know. Anyone would think that wokies are patronising, racist cu*** and white supremacists who believe that 'white' people are the default humans and not a 'race' at all (i. e. Sure it does. If we don't scrutinize our own bad behavior, then we end up scrutinizing everyone else's bad behavior and it usually turns into a brawl. If everyone in the world tried to improve themselves first instead of focusing on others, the world would probably have considerably fewer wars and strife. Trying to fix other people's problems usually only creates more problems.

I have problems with the horrible atrocities that occurred under Hitler's regime. He may not have committed them personally but he surely must have known about them--in which case, he could have used the esteem the German people seemed to have for him to pressure them to stop those atrocities.
