In the end, I'm a failed human being. I've failed at everything. I'm a hedonist. I am unknowledgeable. I'm unreliable. I'm unproductive. I'm unreproductive. And I feel no affinity with any God.

Maybe there is a God. And maybe this is my punishment. Or maybe there's no God at all except one that we human beings seem to need in order to build community and standards among ourselves. Either way, I have no answers, so that also makes me uncertain. And uncertainty seems to be the greatest sin of all. Not being able to run around the Earth telling other human beings about God or things which I know nothing about at all just doesn't seem to become a human being. Everyone else seems to be an authority on such matters. I am no authority on anything. And sometimes I feel incredibly alone and isolated in a world full of the "faithful" and "knowledgeable".

And last of all, I am probably not an example for anyone to want to live up to. Who would want to be like me? Failure is not a model to live up to.

Well you've been successfully whining on here for 13 years so I suppose that's something.

And yes, in the end everyone is a failure if they live long enough. Their mind fails. Their body fails. In fact I think it must be worse for people who've had a marvellous life. They can't bear the thought of it all ending. They think 'Is this it? I can't believe it's all over. Oh my god, the party will go on without me.. '

This problem is much smaller for people who believe that we just go on to the next party. In that sense, I am not particularly much attached to the current party, even though I certainly appreciate it.

The problem, like so many problems actually, is therefore exclusively caused by what you believe about it. If you believe that the situation is perfectly fine, then it simply is.

If you however believe that there is no next party, and even fret over it, then you are obviously the victim of a self-inflicted problem.

People believe whatever they want. They can believe things that make their life easier or things that make it more difficult. In both cases, they get exactly what they have asked for.

My disagreement with Durden is that i believe we are all snowflakes, and that some snowflakes ARE more unique than others before they are reduced to the compost heap like all snowflakes finally are.

I'm about to get back into it (dating) and realised stating government clowns certified me 'schizophrenic' on my website may be a drawback when the potential woman decides to check my stuff out! - hence just edited it out. I met a nice girl at a BBQ a couple of weeks ago (she liked my burgers, but then so does everyone - secret is, a little garam masala) - I think she's Christian too and was very interested in my GOD talk when the conversation turned to this UFO bollocks - to which I explained my two "encounters", which were clearly GOD taking the piss again.

So Gazza, the more you talk down about yourself, the more down u gonna be...and AGAIN, get off those fuckwit pharma pills. Go get some street stuff -MDMA (ecstasy, you'll feel great for weeks after one evening on that stuff) Snogging lasses is amazing too..wow

Hey, apparently they are doing proper clinical trials of that drug for PTSD...all you need to do is front up and, mmm, maybe talk about all the terrible encounters you had with a crazy NZ woman on an internet forum. Matter of fact, I might do the same!

I tell women up front rather than hide my qualities. Being honest in dating seems like it would be a good thing, if I care about the other person at all.

Being honest I'd say is a quality, but trust me, NOBODY is honest within the first month of dating. As far as I can tell, you blow as much smoke up each others arse that you think you can get away with, and then gradually let each other down with how boring and crap you both are.

Maybe my biggest blow smoke might be along the lines that Warner Bros are looking at turning my book into a film, but are being a bit short on the million bucks I want.
