Actually the Southern drawl is the nicest American accent.

I do hope this is true although I'm not sure why such a brilliant guy wants to look retarded with a backward-facing baseball cap...

I did 120 kilometers on our lousy highways workdays daily 13 ys. Those were not my best hours. As for our winters its something like Mordor. Mosty snowless and just cold and barren. Not in the northern parts but there you freeze your willie off instead and have like 2 weeks of summer.attofishpi wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 1:37 pmAnsiktsburk wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:48 amHave forgot why I landed on that specific time but it works fine. 5:55 is a funny time for me. I wish I could set my clock to 6:66 but it won't let me.
Hang on. You're in Scandinavia, what the f* is a "commuter" to you?
Is it a busy walrus that gets in your way when walking between your house (a small igloo) to your office (a big igloo)?

"Onchain data shows that one unlucky trader looking to capitalize on the buzzy airdrop managed to turn $10,000 into less than $5 in a matter of seconds. At 12:54 UTC, about five minutes before the token dropped, a trader placed an order to swap over 45 wrapped solana tokens for PENGU tokens. Unfortunately, due to a quirk in how decentralized exchange aggregator Jupiter JUP -1.97%
works and the timing of the trade, he only received 78 PENGU tokens — worth less than $3 at press time."

Re: True Story of the Day
So as I mentioned in another thread, I am going to attempt to create Chapter One of my novel Alpha Two into a VR movie as a proof-of-concept, hopefully to get the entire novel done. I am using ChatGPT to assist and ease the learning curve, since I have very little experience with Unreal Engine.
I imported Los Angeles into Unreal Engine from OSM file (Open Street Map)

Apparently with the software worldbld.com (CityBLD) *bloody expensive because the AUD $ is worth peanuts.. I may be able to use Python script with AI to assist with generating actual faces of buildings etc from CityBLD & other building assets.
All good fun!
If I can't figure that out today, I don't truly need the actual streets of LA to be accurate - also, this is 2105 so woteva!
My vision is, that the opening scene, the client user (wearing a VR headset) will glide down through the clouds over the LA skyline and eventually land street level where the main protagonist steps out of his apartment lobby.
Helix Carone takes a calming breath, long and deep, and steps from the safety of his apartment lobby. The riveted and reinforced steel doors automatically bolt lock behind him. Although the sky is overcast with heavy cloud, his eyes strain against the sudden change from artificial light. For the past forty-eight hours he has been pinned to his computer console staring at software code.
⠀⠀Suddenly he is grabbed from behind and thrown back against the door. “The darkness slithers within us all!” says the man grasping Helix’s chest and holding him against the steel. His eyes are sunken and distant, his skin wrinkled well beyond his years. Helix knocks the hands away and in the same movement throws the man to the ground.
⠀⠀Helix stands over the man and notices psychstim nodes pasted to the man’s forehead. “Time to see the light my friend,” Helix says as he rips the psychstim from the man’s skin and throws it onto the cement. “Or at least—get back a little rational thought.” He crunches the psychstim underfoot leaving the man to gaze at his loss.

Re: True Story of the Day
So I managed to build a bit of a city and just jumped in with the VR headset on - this is a screenshot I took..bit average.

I had to jump out quick, I have never heard my GPU fans go like that and the top of my PC (tempered glass) was very hot. I have no idea wot I am doing, but clearly as it is, is far from optimised!!

Re: True Story of the Day
Not sure if anyone needs to hear an account of this, but I am going to make an account of it nonetheless..
Tonight was the once a year gathering of all my mates (that have known each other since about at least the age of 16-17 - for me anyway)
Yes...a piss up. In the city, sun shining everyone have a dandy time.
Anyway, people part ways and head ways.
I head to the Exeter for a couple more beers, then head to the Yiros House
I grab a yiros - and start walking towards somewhere I could grab a taxi - WHEN - a bunch (about 5) dipshits around the age of >20 decide they want attos yiros. Of course, I am not so certain I am about to allow these stupid cunts to have my meal when they ALL ark up. Like for this age group being able to comprehend taking on a single man in a fight when you have ALL you mates as backup is aok - somehow worthy of wot? Pathetic fucking wankers..
So I make that point to them, that they are pathetic...and I'll take them on anyway (love alcohol - it's my super strength)
- so one of these imbeciles lunges at me...at which point I take his momentum and throw him into the road where a truck was "moment Ing" ...the only thing that pissed me off, was that the driver of the truck saw the twat positioned .......and hit his ducking brake.
Then I had the other FOUR young twats to deal with...but alas, some girl and an older (wiser) chap came along and apologised for the morons they were related to..
...mmm
Merry FUCKING Christmas in the Life of Brian (it was such a lovely day with my buddies until then)
PS. Do U think I would give a fuck if I threw EVERY one of those scum in front of a moving truck?
PPS. Of course I would, moving trucks have twats that press brakes. Ergo, what a waste of effort

It's unbelievable what Ashley with a Ph.D. has to go through just to get a new refrigerator. That the doorway is too narrow to fit the frig through is hardly any excuse. Just violate the laws of physics and force the goddamn thing through there. Larry, bring me my phone. I'm calling Lowe's.
Look how fast Ashley was at the truck before dude could get there. Homegirl's like Night Crawler from the x-men.

O.M.G. I just bought a $1,100 Sealy mattress for $649, you guys. When i laid on that mattress in the store, homegirl almost had to call security to get me off it. Had to have it. Extra firm... my lower back was like "ohhhhhhmmmmmm" and i laid their in total ecstasy for what felt like eternity.
I will be sleeping for the next several days, so please forward any philosophical inquiries or song requests you may have to my inbox. Thank you, and goodnight.

That's awesome Prom, I just hope you have found a subway, or flyover with some protection from the rain for it.

I've got a spot behind a dumpster in the Burger King parking lot. One of those fenced-in dumpster joints. Cops can't see me at night if they drive through, so I'm good.

Re: True Story of the Day
I've been laying on my fabulous new mattress smoking pot and watching National Geographic all day. Did you know that the Johnston Atoll was infested with psychopathic yellow ants, and they had'ta get rid of em before they built an airfield there?
Also, The Prince Of Wales - the most powerful battleship ever built at the time - was sunk by like four Japanese torpedoes in less than an hour. The Japs had just made that torpedo that you drop from a plane, and the bloody brits didn't know what hit em.
Torpedoes but where's the sub? Where's the goddamn sub, seaman!? Sir, radar isn't showing anything. I don't understand. Jesus Christ what's happening. Seal those bulkheads and pray to God, mates, I think we're sunk!
