You just want to be told what to think.
I want peace and an end to all the killing. That seems like a worthy goal to me.
Sure you do. That's why you change sides every five minutes
I'm sorry that I displease you. Seeking wisdom isn't always easy (at least not for me).

What you are saying, does not make sense.

Prisoners can be exchanged at any time during the conflict. The Russians and the Ukrainians exchange prisoners all the time.
Gary Childress wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 10:05 am But, yes they can be exchanged. Is Hamas observing that?
Hamas has offered a gazillion times already to exchange the hostages for Palestinian prisoners. The only reason why it doesn't happen, is because Netanyahu does not want that. There are protests all the time in Israel, demanding that Netanyahu agrees to a prisoner exchange.
Gary Childress wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 10:05 am And, bottom line, civilians are supposed to be exempt altogether from such treatment, and yet Hamas seems to have clearly taken civilian hostages.
The 7 Oct hostages were planned to be captured in fortified military kibbutz and in military bases. The festival was unexpected. They were not supposed to be there.

By the way, why did they even hold a festival right across the Gaza fence? Why did they even give permission for that? That area is treated as a military zone but they still authorize festivals there?

I have opinions, however, whether or not I stick with them probably ought to depend on how true they are.

You are so full of shit. The pallycunts have been murdering Israeli children for decades. It's what they do. They always prey on the most vulnerable. Why do you even exist? You render humankind pointless.

Hostilities seem to have been initiated by Hamas. They took civilians as hostages. I mean, Israelis seem to me to have justification to fight back. Wouldn't Hamas have been justified to have done the same had Israel started everything off by launching missiles into Gaza?

You are taking things out of context. The conflict started almost a century ago. First read the Wikipedia page on Zionism before drawing uninformed conclusions:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism

Zionism[a] is an ethnocultural nationalist movement that emerged in Europe in the late 19th century and aimed for the establishment of a Jewish state through the colonization[2] of a land outside Europe.
The Zionists have always treated the local population like shit:
The Zionist claim to Palestine was based on the notion that Jews had a historical right to the land which outweighed the rights of the Arabs, which were "of no moral or historical significance."[11][30]

The concept of "transfer"

In order to achieve a Jewish demographic majority, the Zionist movement was faced with a problem, namely the presence of the local Arab (and primarily non-Jewish) population.

Zionists used the term "transfer" as a euphemism for the removal, or ethnic cleansing, of the Arab Palestinian population.
Zionism is a fundamentally evil European ideology not much different from Nazism.

The Zionists have created a racist apartheid regime in Palestine with Bantustan homelands for the Palestinians.

Seriously, why are you even defending these Nazis?

Everything you just posted is bullshit of course, full of generic, meaningless buzzwords and stolen terminology. Nothing will change your mind.Facts mean nothing to cultists like you. The only websites you look at are ones that feed your preconceived notions--like the creationists who only look at 'answersingenesis'. You and all your pathetic blue-haired 'free plasticine' know-nothings.

Jews wanted a homeland where they could look out for each other after hundreds of years of persecution by other peoples. The British gave them the territory. So it's not entirely their fault that they ended up where they are. I don't think it's quite the same thing as Apartheid in South Africa, it's their ancestral homeland. It seems unrealistic for them to pack up and leave at this point. Perhaps the peace process should start with where things are now and move forward. I've heard many rational minds talk favorably of the "two state" solution.

They hardly 'gave' it to them. Zionists had been purchasing the land legally from Arab landowners (who didn't live there) for decades. The British tried multiple times to negotiate deals but they were turned down by the Arabs living there. Jews had also been emigrating there LEGALLY for some time. It's ironic that wokies call anyone who objects to uncontrolled immigration 'racist'-- unless it's Israel. Hmm. I wonder why that would be?

I don't understand. Are you saying that "wokies" would be more consistent to call Israel "racist" but that they do not? Judaism is a religious faith not a ,"race".

Clearly not very bright.

What does any of it matter anyway? Why is Israel the ONLY country that has EVER been required to 'justify' its existence?

No country has a 'right' to exist'. No country has 'no right' to exist. They just 'do'.

There was an actual genocide committed by muslims against the Yazidi population for which there were massive protests by 'high-viz hair' wokies. In fact muslims are slaughtering non-muslims all over the place, hence the massive protests in 'Western' countries.
Oh, hang on......

People forget that Jews have a very deep history in all of those countries, having lived in them long before there was any such thing as 'islam'. Clearly they were forced out by 'someone'.
