Re: Questions to Christian’s
'Interesting' that Henry and IC, both religious maniacs, have no empathy whatsoever. They both assume that one can only care about something if one has had personal experience of it. That's bizarre to me. I find that kind of self-absorbed, shitty world view abhorrent. And then to pretend to care about something simply because of some self-serving adherence to an artificial, human-made religious doctrine makes it even worse. We are all connected. If you think something doesn't affect you then think again. Everything affects everyone.

Yet there will be people browsing this forum hoping to find some philosophical dialogue. Are there two different individuals posting under the name Fairy?Sometimes F posts ideas and at other times emotional outpourings of no general interest. There will other forums online that welcome personal details . What most people mean by 'philosophy' is ideas.Fairy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 3:24 pmWhile that is true Minnie wouldn’t bring his dirty laundry to the forum, that dirty laundry must exist somewhere. Mannie wouldn't bring dirty laundry to a public forum. If his buddy IC said anything similar it would be believed no questions asked.
Mannie is one of the most honest people I know.IC is about the most dishonest poster on the forum hands down.![]()

Re: Questions to Christians
Interesting also is that women are by no fault of their own chemically wired to be emotional. And while it seems men have the capacity to be emotional too, they seem to suppress it, making them appear to have no empathy, which they also suppress by assuming women are emotional lunatics. Of course that’s just an ignorant misunderstanding of the difference in their brains chemistry. . Something to do with left and right brain brainings…albeit complimentary opposites.
It’s obviously clear that men and women have absolutely nothing in common. Except their love for sexual intimacy. Indeed, humans are simply hedonistic beastly creatures ruled by their animalistic cannibalistic urges. They are no better or more important than a cockroach, or a stoned ape, or maybe they are just reincarnated dinosaurs.

That’s the real true philosophy.
Hope is all there is when it comes to searching and finding philosophy.

Re: Questions to Christians
Actually 'occasionally' was too strong a word to use. A more accurate word would have been 'once'
That was on the topic of Israel. Clearly IC's religious doctrine has a pro Israel stance and as it just happens that in that particular subject he has all the facts, evidence and history on his side then there's no need to resort to skulduggery or display his complete lack of integrity. It's only when someone has no argument that they need to resort to lies. The topic of Israel is shooting fish in a barrel. The other side has no argument whatsoever, hence all the ridiculous pallywood videos doing the rounds showing 'genocide' 'victims', and absurdly inflated figures etc.

Disagreements can become emotional when people give them an unpleasant meaning, such as "they don't respect me" or "I must be wrong". Emotional conflict can arise when people have different and opposing emotions about a situation.Belinda wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 7:19 pmYet there will be people browsing this forum hoping to find some philosophical dialogue. The philosophy of human emotional maturity is philosophy and philosophy is philosophy that’s just what it is.
The intensity of emotions can increase as a dispute intensifies.
Where there’s a separate self, there’s the inevitable urge, desire to protect and guard it to the death. Nature is cruel to be kind, and kind to be cruel. In fact nature is completely indifferent to what ideas think about it.
Selfing is an Occupational hazard.
Don’t bash me.
Re: Questions to Christians
Another question to Christians is…
Did Jesus Christ commit suicide?
If Jesus is the image of God.. which IC has believed to be the case. Then God must be all there is, was, and ever will be infinitely for eternity.
God, the one and only one to exist, would mean that Jesus Christ, namely God, must have killed himself.

I saw the mild compliment. I also saw the gross slander in the previous message; in in comparison, it was a very small gesture of placation. Therefore, I remained unimpressed.accelafine wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 6:32 pmAnd there is is.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 2:59 pmThat makes you rhetorical flourishes, and the visceral level of your antipathy difficult to account for. In fact I often admire the way you argue. It's just that your fanatical religious ideology...Ah, there it is! I suspected as much.
Well, you don't like my "ideology." And you don't have to -- either to warrant respect or to be respectful. However, beliefs can be honest, when one actually believes them; or they can be dishonest, when they're assumed merely as a posture. How you've managed to divine which I represent is a mystery, since you don't know me at all. You must fancy yourself a prophetess of some kind.![]()
I suspect you've also got a stake in other questions I've addressed. And I suspect that stake is personal and experiential, not rational. But be that as it may, there's still no reason for spite. This is, after all, a philosophy site; and one who is unable to deal with contrary opinions is either going to struggle here, or is not going to be able to stay on the topic, and will lapse into things like ad hominems of the sort you're offering here. Can't even take a mild compliment graciously,...
Really? Well, judging by your posts, I would need to find some evidence of that, were I to believe it.I was brought up to be a critical thinker.

Hardly slander when it's true. You are a vain, disingenuous, pompous wanker. That's just stating a fact.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 11:58 pmI saw the mild compliment. Even more interesting is that you invoke empathy while abusing the characters of your interlocutors. Hardly the model of empathy, that.accelafine wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 6:59 pm 'Interesting' that Henry and IC, both religious maniacs, have no empathy whatsoever.

"Did Jesus Christ commit suicide?"
I heard there's a gospel or book that was either omitted from the King James bible when it was conceived or it was found long after the King James bible was published and wasn't added, that has something about your homeboy jesus conspiring beforehand to have whatshisname crucify him, setting everything up. Like J was pulling a Socrates and making a stylish martyr of himself.

Calling a habitual liar a liar is 'abuse'. Ok. Wokies would love you. You seem to have been taking lessons from them.
