If we would be able to turn on a machine that could do anything for us, should we do it?
What is the purpose of us, humans, as thinking and emotional entities in the world?
If we are the last step to a next level intelligent species, how should we face this fact?
Should we believe we can control the genie? Should we hope that the genie will be good for us in the long run?
Do we have the right to stop progress and be content with a mediocre level of society because progress leads to something too powerful and unpredictable?
We need philosophy now more than ever

You have assumptions here my friend.
Should we stop progress and accept mediocre anything? I should say not.
Progress leads to something too powerful? Not in the right hands. That is the trick. Part of why we are here on earth I would say.
