The Philosophy Now Forum is back!

Post by RickLewis »

Hi folks. Sorry the forum was down for quite a few days. A bot-related technical problem with the forum was causing the entire Philosophy Now website to repeatedly crash. Therefore we had to take the forum offline for the rest of the website to run normally.

After investigating in some depth, Bora has concluded that the best solution would be to increase the level of protection that an external web security company provides. This costs quite a lot of extra money so we may have to put some adverts at the top of the Forum to pay for this. And please consider subscribing to Philosophy Now magazine (https://philosophynow.org/shop) - it is excellent value and we need to balance the books in order to keep this show on the road!

If the extra security doesn't solve the problem, we may have to take the forum down again while we try to think of an alternative solution. Apologies in advance if this proves necessary.

What good news. I thought the forum was lost and gone forever. I just hope it was back before Kropotkin was driven to suicide.

I would not object to advertisers on the pages. It could be interesting to see which products could be advertised for the various topics. Cosmetics on the aesthetics board could show that some beauty is only skin deep...

Guess, I'll have to count up some pennies and sub up.

Adverts on the front page? Sure, why not?

Thanks, you guys, for workin' to keep the place running... πŸ‘

I wanna see ads for coffee, cigarettes, and shotguns (a few of my favorite things).

Coffee is actually good for you so you might want to remove it from your list. It's not 'manly' to be healthy. :|

You're gold Henry!

I want adverts for tech stuff - VR mainly. It would be good if we could select what type of adverts would suite us individually.

But yes sub up people!

So men who aren't pansies aren't healthy?
