Three police officers were injured on 3 August 2024, when the far-right gathered outside a hotel housing asylum seekers in central Hull.
Violent protests also gripped Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke, and Belfast, which is thought to have been partly triggered by misinformation about the alleged knife attacker in Southport, Merseyside, which resulted in the deaths of three children.
According to Marc Owen Jones, a disinformation professor at Doha’s Hamid bin Khalifa University, there were 27 million impressions on social media posts stating or speculating, without evidence, that the attacker was Muslim, a migrant, refugee or foreigner.
In other words, Attofish and morons like him are a serious problem in England, spreading misinformation without a second's hesitancy, then going around destroying shit in their own cities, while ironically crying "Muslims are destroying our country", causing violence, intimidating people.
Attofish is on a philosophy forum, presumably he thinks he is a philosophical person, and yet he doesn't show the slightest bit of intellect when he comes across speculations that the attacker was muslim. A philosophically-minded person might ask, "How do we know he's Muslim?", but not idiots like Attofish. Attofish is contributing to internet disinformation. It's disgusting and anti-philosophical, and this type of behaviour has already caused real harm.
