Primus
De Anza Jig
https://youtu.be/_gR2c64pEWQ
I can still remember my
Old friend Todd Squellati
I watched him snort a
Milkshake right up his nose
He slurped it up the left side
Blew it out the right side
How he ever kept it down
I will never know

Primus
Mrs. Blaileen
https://youtu.be/5sa-32BzVuk
Mrs. Blaileen, she was a sixth grade teacher
And she controlled the children by using humiliation
The target always seemed to be Donny
He was a bit slower than the others
When he was quite young, his mother died at the kitchen table
While choking on some food
Lol a song about how troubled youth become what they are by being abused, neglected, bullied, whatever.
That's the jam tho. It's kinda uncharacteristic of Primus's usual feel, too.

A clip from Bonnaroo 2011 live footage of Jilly's On Smack lol.
I do believe that's Herb on drums tho not with falsifiable certainty.

Indeed that was not Tim 'Herb' Alexander but Jay Lane, the seventh drummer to play in Primus it seems.

Two more jams.
Kalamazoo
https://youtu.be/8dk9RS9mxHQ
The Ballad Of Bodacious
https://youtu.be/3lP6rfkIcWc
I do believe that last one is about a bull called Bodacious.
One really has to be from a certain niche in history to like this band, I think. U have to have been in your middle teens when Primus came out. When the grunge scene happened on the radio after Metallica style metal was played out, the band that stood out the most from all the nirvana and radiohead and faith no more and stone temple pilot formulas, was Primus.

Re: What music are you listening to?
Actually that wasn't an accurate assessment. It wasn't 'metallica style metal' but that very brief period of the glamour metal that appeared after heavy metal of the mid 80s. The Poisons and Skid Rows and White Snakes. Grunge was therefore an attempt to return to metal but without the makeup and big hair. Incidentally, emo became the new male identity and kurt brought the button sweater back. All this happened very quickly. Anything to end the glamour rock trend but keep the misunderstood angsty feel of it.
