Then Louisianaians must be un-nuanced, non-understanding, and un-empathetic cuz, as I say, locally there isn't any obvious pushback against the mandate. That's what nuanced, understanding, empathetic Christians think.

I imagine that objecting to this obnoxious kiddy-fiddling in a place like Louisiana would be a lynching offence.
And let us not forget that god is no longer 'he' but must now be referred to using the pronouns 'them/they' (as it is written in the updated 'Even better news bible'' of St. Trans the complainer).

We don't let the faux women use the ladies toilet in this state (sometimes we beat their asses for tryin') . We're gettin' to ready to make chemical castration mandatory for convicted sex offenders (I think a bullet to the forehead is better).accelafine wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 10:56 pm I imagine that objecting to this obnoxious kiddy-fiddling in a place like Louisiana would be a lynching offence.
I think God is a Dude...so do about 80% of Louisianians. And let us not forget that god is no longer 'he' but must now be referred to using the pronouns 'them/they' (as it is written in the updated 'Even better news bible'' of St. Trans the complainer).

Yes, At least by definition they do not believe the Christian God exists. "Fake" might be overly pejorative, implying an intentional lie or deception. Nonetheless, the "false idols" are not necessarily "fake" either. Also, God states, "I am a jealous God". Isn't He violating one of His own commandments?henry quirk wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2024 1:06 amSo half the people posting here, and all of the Marxists think placing the Ten Commandments on classroom walls violates rule #2 in my kids' version (do not make fake gods)?
The implication of that commandment is clearly that all Gods except the Jewish version are "fake", and posting the commandment at public schools clearly violates (or at least encourages the violation of) freedom of religion. Perhaps, as more and more people become non-Christian, Christians should want this freedom protected.
Re: Teach Your Children Well
Fact: A stone statue of Moses, flanked by statues of Confucius and Solon, sits on top of the SCOTUS building. The bill points to more recent decisions by the Supreme Court finding that the Ten Commandments “have historical significance as one of the foundations of our legal system” and represent a “common cultural heritage.” The bill further states that “Recognizing the historical role of the Ten Commandments accords with our nation’s history and faithfully reflects the understanding of the founders of our nation with respect to the necessity of civil morality to a function [SIC] self-government.”
“History records that James Madison, the fourth President of the United States of America, stated that ‘(w)e have staked the whole future of our new nation . . . upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles of the Ten Commandments,”‘ the bill reads.
Question: Why is there a statue of Moses at the top of the SCOTUS building?
Answer: Because that makes it more difficult for the ignorant mob to destroy the statue in order to erase any hint of religion from the system of governance founded on Judeo-Christian principles, the system of governance that does not prohibit freedom of religion, and that does not decapitate folks for practicing their religion, seeing as how that would be counter to the moral principles upon which the country was founded.
Question: Why do Confucius and Solon flank Moses?
Answer: Because the morality of the Ten Commandments, for which Moses is known, is not limited to Moses or Christianity, but rather is common to The Good. (It's bigger, because it's the crux of the Louisiana decision.)
Question: And who determines what is good?
Answer: Louisiana officials in this case ... justified by Federalism that does not contradict The US Constitution.
Question: How dare they?
Answer: Oh yes, they dare.

Teach Your Children Well ... with displays of morality.
Should anyone try a Satanic display in what passes for a Louisiana rotunda, they just might get double-dog dared, seeing as how the USofA was not founded on Satanic Principles, and seeing as how Memorial Hall is not a Satanic Temple, but rather is a place to practice and even display moral principles such as those required for displacing the Satanic from The Lawgivers. Note that The Lawgivers Moses, Confucius, and Solon are mortals, and not divine.
