Re: True Story of the Day
I have never called anyone on this forum a paedophile.accelafine wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 11:35 am Sad little sourfaced gnome thinks his snide little generic and tedious insults mean squat.
You should take up smoking again. You do realise they've discovered it extends your life by at least 50 years don't you? And refined white sugar too. It's a superfood
Btw, fish pi called you a paedphile on another thread. You don't seem to have much to say about that![]()
HERE WE GO.,
I stated an exaggerated opinion about men in general that in hindsight and further thought I was wrong to suggest, so if that is what you are alluding to then stop being ridiculous.
When you have a "friend" that you travel half-way around Scotland with - a school teacher - then find out what this ** did, you start losing it with what "men" "friends" are capable of. The ** in question is now in China..
Just fuck this shit Veg. I fucking hate this shit...and now you are suggesting I accuse Sculptor of something so disgusting.
Clearly you HATE men, and will stop at nothing to tarnish them.

Who are you talking to? And yes, you said all men are paedphiles and I hate paedophiles so make of that what you will. You expect me to like them? Be 'inclusive' of them? And the only men who would ever think that a ten year old was 'coming on' to them are paedophiles.

Finally a physical fitness routine appropriate for women (real ones, not the the trans ones) has been developed by fitness specialists. These workouts place emphasis on strengthening and improving the most important muscle groups in the female body, as well as improving upon the coordination and endurance women need to perform well.

Now why couldn't the cop just say 'we are simply going to detain him for the moment so we can resolve the matter' rather than saying 'get back' fifty seven times like a broken record.
One need only look at how those with the greatest authority in this world act to immediately and completely rebuke all law and order. To render it irrelevant and obsolete in principle, being given to its existence only by the dumb, brute force of its effects. There is no 'god' who has designed this. Not this. This isn't how agents of law enforcement on a planet with an intelligent society created by a god, would act. No, this is just a monkey with opposable thumbs and a primitive language making noises. And i don't mean that as a racial epithet; white cops do it too.
But this great philosophical troof doesn't hit home until you've observed how county jail and state prison correction officers act. If one walked into a room in an experiment and was aksed which of the two people seated before them do they think was the inmate (and which one was the CO), nine times out of ten it'd be a coin toss. U think I'm kidding.
As a general rule i do not recognize or honor any authority that is expressed through and by people who aren't as smart as me. I just can't do it. If i do recognize it, it's only becuz i can't overpower it, not becuz i revere and respect it.
Add to this the weekly/monthly scandals that are always popping up in the american government... stupid tedious shit they argue about for days on end at capitol hill when they should be governing. Next week it'll be some senator's hair style or he'll be busted for buying a yacht with tax payer dollars. Or he'll run an eight hour long philibuster to prevent some silly shit that ought not even be an issue but is becuz none of em know wtf they're doin, anyway, from happening.
I mean bro the american government, federal and state, has the largest number of scumbags of any country. When i say scumbag, i don't mean a putin style scumbag. He's different. What i mean is a philosophically incompetent asshole who's just towing a line of ambigious conservative principles and premises that he's knows nuthin about and is only repeating, so he can get a bigger paycheck than he would get doing whatever else a desk jockey like him would do. One who's own ideological nonsense is what has created the very cesspool that he/she's so urgently involved in having to address all the time in congress with the other monkeys. And american citizens just stand by and watch em eat up their tax dollars doin it.

Re: True Story of the Day
"The main idea behind Gettier's examples is that the justification for the belief is flawed or incorrect, but the belief turns out to be true by sheer luck."
I would like to look at some of the Vonhamsonshmidt criticism of the gettier problem. Gustave Vonhamsonshmidt wrote that in each example cited in demonstrating instances of justified true beliefs (but not for reasons known), the truth of the statement 'a sheep is in the field' depends on the following terms being met:
If 'a sheep is in the field' is synonynous and equivalent to ''the statement 'a sheep is in the field but it's not the sheep thought or meant by the person making that exact statement', is true', the meaning of that comparison and equivalence is lost by the ontological impossibility of the two physical realities existing simultaneously; the statement 'a sheep is in the field' presupposes that not also does it happen that the sheep making the statement true is unknown to the knower and on the other side of the hill out of view. That's not what is happening in the simple statement about the world at T1 'a sheep is in the field'. Instead at T1 what can be said is 'a sheep is in the field but it's not the sheel being meant by the speaker (turns out to be a dog dressed as a sheep). Anyway they're two different ontically possible facts unless the speaker means the same by the two statements.
He does not.
He would immediately concede the two meanings are not the same and that he was mistaken... even tho i can say of the event 'a sheep is in the field' becuz I'm not engaged in the experiment and accidentally wrong about my claim (luckily there was in fact a sheep over the hill unbeknownst to him).
What makes T1 and statements about anything at T1 true is every circumstance considered in the conception of that truth (vaporized apricots may be right here sorta) at that instance of statement.
Again, since 'a sheep is in the field and that's it, that's all' is not the same as 'a sheep is in the field but not for reasons u believe or knowledge u have' do not include in their meanings equivalent circumstances and cannot mean the same thing.
Ergo, when dude sees the dog dressed in sheep's wool while there's a sheep beyond his view over the hill, and says 'a sheep is in the field', the reality he's talking about is not the same reality I'm talking about if i say the same thing as an observer. So if i say to him 'hey, a sheep is in the field', he can't say 'yup, it sure is' as he takes a look becuz the reality meant in his agreement (which is like him sayin it) is describing a fact he's not now aware of. He only happens to be right. The world he means in his statement is not the same world i mean when i say that, goddamit! Don't u see?
I know it's crazy bro buts it's on some deep kantian wittgensteinian level stuff i think. Vonhamsonshmidt's criticism, which i have studied extensively, is a strange sort of return to quantum phenomenology where unjustified belief statements that happen to be true can also be not true, depending on who makes the statement. That is to say, there is a case that 'a sheep is in the field' and 'a sheep is in the field' do not contain the same content in their semantic values and are talking about two different worlds. See whuddum sayin?
I would like to declare this problem a nonproblem. A problem only in logic.

U heard em. Few Kings were spotted recently off the pier so now's the time, boys. If they don't show, we'll take what we can get; blue fin, pompano, flounder, trout, puffers. All good eaten.
If i land a biggin I'll log on and tell u guys real quick so u can tune in on the youtube johnny mercer pier live cam and watch me bring the sonofabitch up.
$8 per pole per day. Can't beat that. Hell a single goddamn fish sandwich at Burger King costs that much.

i can't go out there with just a bookbag and a tackle box becuz I'll look like a newb. Neither can i go out there with the cheap blue one below it becuz I'll look like a fag.

A big 'ol King caught two years ago on that pier.
https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxgoWbMBvDt4 ... -uJdvhKcv3
@ 3:33 he's lettin him run to tire em out... so reelin that guy in was a ten minute ordeal.
You're gonna start with a reduced drag setting on your reel... then at increments you're gonna increase the drag to make it harder on the fish as he's runnin with it.
He caught this one on a trolley rig.

The science of the king trolley rig. He's using live bait fish here so he's gotta catch his bait fish first. Step two is rigging the bait fish, and then you 'n yer buddy are gonna set the lead pole and the fighting pole.

And yet every one of those degenrates have stolen and will steal again, so what u see is not moral outrage, but an opportunity for a bunch of subhuman squalor stricken trash to beat something up. That's all it is.

It's so sad to have to watch Rosa go through this. She's blocked so many of those repetitious meme posting morons that she's starting to sound like one herself.

No weapons (the kid's bike) and no hair pulling. Both fighters are disqualified.
Anyway all this could have been prevented if Lany didn't steal Christy's last two oxycodones.
