I wouldn’t call that ‘..thinking for others’.Sculptor wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:46 pm Was diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago, but rather than start taking medication I looked ways to reverse the disease. The doctor simply did not know it was possible, but I had heard tales.
Long story short I completely reversed my diabetic state simply by trawling YouTube.
Recently I wanted to share what I had learned to help others by joining a FaceBook page on diabetic advice..
The resistance I got was staggering. It's almost as if people want to stay ill. They define themselves by their disease and seem that they would rather keep taking the meds and avoid simple changes in their diet that would make them better.
I was pretty horrified. People would rather die than think. And you can try to think for them, but so few were willing to listen.
Thinking for others, is dangerous..

Really, what is thinking for others?MagsJ wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 11:30 amI wouldn’t call that ‘..thinking for others’.Sculptor wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:46 pm Was diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago, but rather than start taking medication I looked ways to reverse the disease. And what would you call the above?
Re: Thinking for others, is dangerous..
..as long as the 'service' is welcomed/wanted by the recipients.. though independent types would be less welcoming and wanting, of it.
Most others seem to like/want to tell me what to do, how to think, and what to say.. having to constantly push-back on all that is very tiring, so it’s much easier to just disengage and switch-off.
Is that rude? I don’t care.. it’s definitely rude for others not to respect another’s boundaries or wishes.
Re: Thinking for others, is dangerous..
What changed that, do you think?
The greatest sin of all, is envy.. destroyer of worlds and civilisations.
Why are those fuelling all that, making that what life is about, when it isn’t?

What will happen over time
..the creation of weak-willed/weak-minded future generations to come, to be manipulated used and abused within the ‘hierarchy of [other people’s] needs/wants/whims’.. as has been evident in the entertainment, corporate, youth-corps, social services, and institutional industries/sectors.
I used ‘will’ for a very specific reason.. the subjugation of others ‘will’ always lead to the same conclusion, as it’s not like this is the first time that this has ever happened, is it.

Thinking for others is literally telling others how they should think, act, and what they should say.Sculptor wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 11:47 amReally, what is thinking for others?MagsJ wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 11:30 amI wouldn’t call that ‘..thinking for others’.Sculptor wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:46 pm Was diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago, but rather than start taking medication I looked ways to reverse the disease. ..trying to help others.. giving advice.. make others see sense.. sharing sage advice that works, so trying to change others’ minds, but not thinking for them.

Must be a pretty pathetic doctor you have. Type 2 diabetes is completely reversible. Often it's just a matter of losing weight. Not rocket science.Sculptor wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:46 pm Was diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago, but rather than start taking medication I looked ways to reverse the disease. I think the distinction between the two is as thin a a cigarette paper, whilst in telling them the best way to move forward with their ailment is tantamount to thinking about the relationship between themselves and their disease in a different way, as without thinking they cannot act.MagsJ wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 1:07 pmThinking for others is literally telling others how they should think, act, and what they should say.

Most doctors still think that diabetes is caused by obesity and age. Most doctors have little time nor inclination to do science, and their primary response it to follow diagnosis with drug treatments to manage T2D.

Diabetes is caused by the abuse to the system of an excess of refined foods especailly carbohydrates, leading to insulin resistance due to the persistent over stimuation of the pancreas exretion of insulin and the bodies growing rejection as the cells get overloaded with fuels.
Obesity can also be the result of insulin resistence - an excess of refined carbhydrates - since insulin is a storage hormone and can block fat burning and enourage fat deposition.
However there are a good proportion of diabetics who never get fat; fat is not the cause of T2D..
I cite the following books.
2021, Lustig, Robert, Metabolical, Hodder & Stoughton
2013, Lustig, Robert, Fat Chance, Harper Collins.
If you have anything let's hear if, or just fuck off dumb fuck.
Tell us specifically how being fat leads to T2D, give your metablolic reasons.

I don't really give a flying rat's arse because I'm not fat and I don't eat junk food. Obviously if people stop stuffing their faces with refined sugar and carbs then they are going to lose weight.
My original comment was about your thicko docotor being allegedly AMAZED that you had reversed it and that he didn't think it was possible.
You don't appear to have a very good relationship with facts and the truth--on ANY topic.

They seem to have missed a spot. What if democracy is a way to beat the remaining independents into submission? Every election cycle we get to find out whether the people who want to be free win. Or will the submissive people win, punishing us all?
