Israel has jails and its “jurisprudence” toward Palestinians operates similarly to hostage-taking.

Because Israel operates as a military occupation force it has a legal and police apparatus at its disposal and without any doubt it is used oppressively.

Not to justify the taking of hostages by Hamas but to place it in a fair and realistic context.

...while the chief leaders of Hamas are royally hosted in countries like Qatar and Turkey, which doesn't seem to make any difference to the Palestinians still proclaiming their loyalty to the group which caused all this misery. This in spite of their children now being on the front line of the mortality rate.
All this misery did not start in October.
Whatever Hamas are doing, or wherever they are does not change the fact that Israel is performing a genocide regardless of Hamas.
If Hamas re not in Palestine, then what the fuck do you think Israel is doing there?
Try and use some reason!

I think insanity requires a new definition, one encompassing whole groups!

Billionaire leaders, while the likes of sculptor cry rivers of crocodile tears over the plight of Gazans and their lack of resources and infrastructure. It's all very strange...
If I were Palestinian, I would hate Hamas more than the Israelis.

I subscribe to the Times and some of its depth reporting is still very good (otherwise it is often a semi-Maoist propaganda-organ). That article had sound and convincing information. The Times has done good reporting on Israel extra-judicial killing as well. Such as the murder of Shireen Abu Akleh, Palestinian journalist.

Some Hamas fighters committed cruel and extremely violent sexual crimes.

Here is another source.

You are saying that as a non-Palestinian you hate what Hamas does. Were you actually Palestinian you would likely feel differently about them.

Take all violent actions committed by Palestinians against Israelis, amplify it by 1,000, and it will not equal the violence and harm committed by Israelis against Palestinians.

So said Miko Peled. A truthful statement.

No! I positively would not! However, I would ask what was the point in such a cowardly attack upon a defenseless group at a concert. What was it supposed to accomplish except to make a vastly more powerful state, who are here to stay, like it or not, completely enraged not only that they did it but in how they did it. Hamas, disgusting poltroons that they are using their own children for cover, directly proved their inability to fight the Israelis by attacking and killing a bunch of concert goers. What a victory!

Based on the consequences, if I were not yet a brain-dead Palestinian, I'd be forced to ask some very pertinent questions as to what Hamas imagined would be the outcome!

And slaughtering whole families. Burning people alive. Forcing mothers to see their children tortured and murdered. It's obscene, and obscene that people like sculptor and others on here don't give a shit.
The outcome was exactly what Hamas wanted. Every Gazan death is at the hands of Hamas--not Israel. The Hamas leadership doesn't give a fuck about Gazans.

Too tiresome to sort through your reaction Dubious. My view is that we need — we require — a more studied, a more depth analysis of the will of resistance in the ME world. Your post amounts to a tirade, not much more. That is fine if that is your object. It will not in my view produce understanding.

Another example of sheer reaction. It won’t help us.
