Soon the death threats came from the IDF, like they now have for so many other journalists.
When the final call came telling him that today was the day, he fled his school to protect his students and was killed the moment he got home by drone strike.
So far 70+ journalists have been struck down by this method. The IDF want them to know. They wish to silence their voices. So that fear spreads to those that would pick up the story of what Israel is doing..

I think the fact is, most people accept that Hamas cares less for Gazans lives than even Israel does, so nobody bothers making any demands of them to begin with.
