If you can — I say this honestly — don’t take my efforts as personal attacks. It is a significant part of my intellectual (and spiritual) path to have to analyze you at this level. You hold the key in this sense. You are the closest I have come to a bona fide religious fanatic. And you have helped me to begin to disassemble Judaism — the unexpected result of my interaction with you. It was Judaism that had me *captured* (my upbringing) and you have shown me why it need be transcended. That’s different from rejected, mind you.

I did at one time know some fanatical Vaishnavas (Krishna devotees) but their base is the philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita so many times more expansive and thought-through. The Bhagavad Gita perspective gives one a concept model to appreciate all religious conceptions.

Judaism and Christianity destroy the possibility.

Judaism is really another beast entirely and in my view a dual creature: on one hand Yahweh is obviously comparable to a demonic demiurgic figure. An emblem of wickedness. But there is a very different aspect to the Greco-Christian god-concept. (I expect you to understand none of this …)

But you hadn't noticed that he was insulting people in post after post after post after post. Classifying them as evil for not agreeing completely with what he considered the correct opinion. You missed all that.

He's not so bad. At least he's capable of reasonable conversation...when he's not having an emotional fit, which he seems to be right now. But he'll get over it.

Something about Israel just makes even reasonable people a little crazy. It seems nobody cares a fig that Bashaar al Asaad massacres hundreds of thousands of Arabs, or Iran or Iraq or Afghanistan do the same, and Western liberals don't even care when people kill or expel Palestinians, as the Yemenis did in such numbers. But let israel do anything to preserve its survival, and they howl like demons.

It was quite a thing to see the presidents of Harvard, Penn and MIT refuse to say that advocating the genocide of Jews constituted even so much as official "harassment." You would think these dyed-in-the-wool liberal Lefties would be all compassion and empathy...but nope. It doesn't matter who they are, they just lose their minds.
