Here, I suggest reading this to understand what's going on.

- Israel imposed a blockade on Gaza because Hamas wants to kill every Jew, and this is expressed in word and deed.
- A blockade inhibits the free flow of weapons into Gaza, with which to kill every Jew.
- A blockade encourages those who want to kill every Jew, to peacefully leave.
- Maintaining Gaza, even as a welfare state, is in the interests of those who want to kill every Jew.

- The rest of the so-called discussion is just support dynamics, to maintain ostensible justification for killing every Jew.
- The United States wants Israel wholly dependent upon the United States for support, and that’s accomplished by demanding conditions from Israel in return for munitions, conditions such as cease-fires that prolong the death and destruction of Israel.
- Why? For the same reason the US supports Iran.
- Everyone can see that.
- Everyone is not distracted by all the ostensible blather, and posturing.

phyllo wrote: Fri Dec 01, 2023 12:38 pm Here is a link to start:
A blockade has been imposed by Israel and Egypt on the movement of goods and people in and out of the Gaza Strip following Hamas's takeover in 2007. The blockade aimed to isolate Hamas and prevent the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. It has also led to significant humanitarian challenges, as it restricts the flow of essential goods, contributes to economic hardship, and limits the freedom of movement for Gaza's residents.[1]

Exit and entry into Gaza is prohibited by sea and air. There are only three crossings to go in and out of Gaza, two of them controlled by Israel and one by Egypt. According to a 2022 report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the blockade has significantly reduced movement of people and goods due to reduction in number of exit permits by Israel.[2]

Israel blockaded the Gaza Strip temporarily in 2005–2006. In 2007, after Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip, both Israel and Egypt have imposed an indefinite blockade of Gaza that is ongoing to present day, on the grounds that Fatah and Palestinian Authority forces had fled the Strip and were no longer able to provide security on the Palestinian side.[3] In response, Hamas fired thousands of rockets towards urban areas in Israel.[4][5] Israel stated that the blockade was necessary to protect Israeli citizens from terrorism, rocket attacks and any other hostile activity and to prevent dual use goods from entering Gaza.[6] Egypt was worried that Hamas control of Gaza would increase Iranian influence and the Egyptian Foreign Minister Aboul Gheit explained that opening the Rafah border crossing, the only crossing on the Egypt-Gaza border, would undermine the legitimacy of the Palestinian Authority.[7] PA President Mahmoud Abbas has expressed his approval of the Egyptian border restrictions. In 2014 and subsequent years, Abbas supported Egypt's crackdown on smuggling tunnels, and welcomed the flooding of the tunnels by Egypt in coordination with the PA.[8]

Israel has been accused of violating or failing to fulfill specific obligations it had committed to under various ceasefire agreements[9][10][11] on different occasions to alleviate or lift the blockade.[12] "Crossings were repeatedly shut and buffer zones were reinstated. Imports declined, exports were blocked, and fewer Gazans were given exit permits to Israel and the West Bank."[13][14][15][16][17][18][19] The blockade has been decried by human rights groups, international community representatives and legal professionals as a form of collective punishment in contravention of international law, specifically the Fourth Geneva Convention. Rights groups have held Israel mainly responsible as the occupying power.

I suggest reading the entire long article.
So what's the obsession with Israel? Is it not allowed to have borders like every other country does? What about Egypt? Aren't its border controls with Gaza just as robust as Israel's, if not more? What about the US? I assume you would like all of its border controls removed.

I guess if innocent civilians have to be killed, they just gotta be killed. Of course, this only applies to Israel--I mean, Hamas--I mean it applies sometimes to Israel but not always and sometimes to Hama but not always. But...

Oh well. I guess God will sort them out?

We're so lucky to have God. Unless of course, God sides with the "bad guys".

The devil temps and God punishes. What a team!!! Who would you like more, a pimp offering you good sex or a policeman coming to arrest you for it?

I am not insane. The world is insane. I'm just forced to live in it.

Civilians are being killed because Hamas attacked and murdered civilians, and because Hamas is using civilians as human shields in a war zone created by Hamas.

This has been proven with much evidence, thus your narrative that supports your self-concept is far more valuable to you, than truth.

You have to wonder, if the 'genocide' by israel is happening, why Gazans would need to post AI images of their 'suffering', and have grieving 'grandfathers' holding what are obviously baby dolls that they claim are their 'slaughtered grandchildren', crying and wailing over their 'dead little bodies'?
Weird the way the woke lap up every laughable lie as long as it fits their agenda.

I hadn't heard of this incident of dolls being used to fake dead children by Palestinians. However, after I googled I found several articles citing a single incident. The Jerusalem post seems to take it for fact, however, several fact-checker sites including the one below seem to say that it is in fact the body of a 4-year-old boy and not a doll--as verified by the journalists who took the photos.

I assume not all the reports of civilian casualties are dolls.

You cannot deny the fact that more than 10,000 civilians have been killed in Gaza so far among them many children unless you claim that bombing just kills Hamas members.
