Well, a word of wisdom: It is obvious that they cannot have their land back. It is better that they stay happy with what they have and live in peace. What is the point of killing and hostaging innocents? They kill some, and Israelis kill more!Sculptor wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:51 pmI Assume you mean "but" their appraoch is incorrectgree. However, no one is listening to them and the abuses and opression of Palestinians by Israel continues unabated for decades.
Palestine's options are otherwise zero. And Isreal relishes that violence, because they can hit back hard.
We seem to be at the stage of who is going to break first. But my view is that the more Israel crushes, the more Palestine will wriggle.
So tell me what "approach" should Palestine try?

There's another photo from the back where you can see that they've cut her achilles tendon. Enjoy, Sculptor.

And I'll bet the Palestinians would look like complete fools if they attempted to post accounts and photographs and videos of the atrocities the Israelis have committed against them going back to, say, May 14, 1948?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 8:10 pm There's another photo from the back where you can see that they've cut her achilles tendon. Then back to the reality that both sides worship and adore the same God.
This and the fact that religious objectivists -- fanatics -- have been responsible for a simply staggering amount of human pain and suffering going back centuries now.
Next up: the role that the military industrial complex plays in all of this.

Meanwhile, in Western countries, muslims (for 'some' strange reason they seem to prefer Western democracies) dance and celebrate along with their clueless wonker handmaidens..

Not sure what you are saying here (I suppose it makes sense to you) but I have posted many photos and links over the years of atrocities committed on muslims by 'The West' and there has never been as much as a whisper of reaction from ANYONE on here. The silence has been deafening.iambiguous wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 8:52 pmAnd I'll bet the Palestinians would look like complete fools if they attempted to post accounts and photographs and videos of the atrocities the Israelis have committed against them going back to, say, May 14, 1948?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 8:10 pm There's another photo from the back where you can see that they've cut her achilles tendon. Okay, both sides commit atrocities. Only a fool would deny that. Or claim that it's always "them" and not "us". And in the name of the same God.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 9:03 pmNot sure what you are saying here (I suppose it makes sense to you) but I have posted many photos and links over the years of atrocities committed on muslims by 'The West' and there has never been as much as a whisper of reaction from ANYONE on here. But atrocities themselves come with the territory for the religious fanatics. I mean, talk about Kant's "kingdom of ends" justifying any and all means! Same with the secular/ideological/deontological equivalents. And, of course, Satyr's "biological imperatives" rendition.
Then the part where, religion aside, the military industrial complex takes over. Unless perhaps the companies that manufacture the weapons are donating them to each side.

K: and to what end do you post those pictures? instead of pictures, how about
seeking a solution.... and the endless ''blame game'' isn't a solution...
finding out who is guilty has always been part of the ''blame game'',
how about offering up solutions?

and I have given solutions... that of reevaluation of values which means
to rethink what it means to be human and, in this case particular,
if it is a religious war, then we must rethink religions in our lives..
as the only thing religions have brought human beings is war,
anger, hatred and discontentment....if it is actually a religious war?

K: most people would rather be certain then actually have a thought to
whether they are right or wrong? it is easier to have certainty instead of
doubt... try thinking... what would be the best road to peace? why is
that so hard to think about? or visualize?

Re: Wonkers and Israel
If you say so?
Seriously, though, most philosophy forums have a "board" devoted to political issues.
But: unlike philosophical discussions themselves [which can go on for pages, hardly mentioning actual human interactions at all] once the discussions do shift to those "conflicting goods" ripped from the headlines, there is often no getting around outbursts of emotions that can infuriate others. Why? Because in regard to political issues revolving around such things as war and peace, truly horrific human pain and suffering [and what are perceived to be terrible injustices] can eventually drive almost all of us up the wall.
The difference with me, however, is that "these days" I am often hopelessly ambivalent, drawn and quartered, fractured and fragmented such that I'm unable to feel as certain about these things as I once did when I myself was an objectivist.
Trust me: for better and for worse.
