Re: True Story of the Day
I think my first clue that capitalism was bullshit happened when i began driving at sixteen and started having to pay 'insurance'. It made absolutely no sense to me then and still doesn't to this day.
I just did the math and found out that I've paid something like $30,000 since i started driving, and never once, not once, have i caused an accident.
Why have i not gotten any of that money back? Why am i paying somebody else in case i cause an accident? Shouldn't u wait until i do cause an accident before i am legally obligated to give u my money?
This ridiculous nonsense has been going on for so long, people think it's normal. 'u gotta have insurance' everybody says as if that makes perfect sense. No. It makes absolutely no sense.
Now i wouldn't hold the capitalist accountable for this bullshit becuz the capitalist is just taking advantage of the opportunity provided by the law to sell insurance. I hold it against the government instead, and keep a running tab on how much it owes me.
Should i send a letter to em demanding that i be reimbursed for every cent I've ever paid to an insurance company? I mean that's the civil thing to do, right? I can't just go around blowing up insurance companies now can i? Or can i?

What happens if you do not have the money, or do not have the means to obtain the money, 'needed' AFTER you cause an accident?promethean75 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:08 am I think my first clue that capitalism was bullshit happened when i began driving at sixteen and started having to pay 'insurance'. LOL
LOL
ONLY the people in THOSE countries, which ENFORCE such 'things', think that 'it' is normal.
But then again the people in a LOT of OTHER countries do NOT have those SAME ENFORCED RULES as THAT country that 'you' live IN and WITH have "promethean75".
Also, WHY have you KEPT paying, for so long, if you KNEW that 'it' was NOT normal?
So, if 'you' were a child, and some one CAUSED the death of 'your' mother, father, and only supporting people for you, and caused 'you' quadriplegia, for example, and there was insurance, to HELP you, then 'this' makes NO sense, to 'you', that SOME sort of 'insurance' was THERE, FOR 'you', right "promethean75"?promethean75 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:08 am 'u gotta have insurance' everybody says as if that makes perfect sense. Sounds like 'you' might WANT to take out 'insurance' here, in case 'you' never had to use insurance, in the past.promethean75 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:08 am Now i wouldn't hold the capitalist accountable for this bullshit becuz the capitalist is just taking advantage of the opportunity provided by the law to sell insurance. 'Should' in relation to 'what', exactly?promethean75 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:08 am Should i send a letter to em demanding that i be reimbursed for every cent I've ever paid to an insurance company?
If 'this' is what 'you' BELIEVE, which appears to be the case from 'your' words above here, then WHY ASK 'us'?
'you' ARE ABSOLUTELY FREE TO DO WHATEVER 'you' WANT TO DO 'promethean75'.promethean75 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:08 am I can't just go around blowing up insurance companies now can i? Or can i?

Suuuure i am.
U just wanna collect the reward that would be offered to anyone who could provide information about the person involved in the recent wave of insurance business bombings.... so you're encouraging me to do it.
U think this is my first rodeo? I'm on to u, age.

First insurance, as a concept, is an example of socialism, not capitalism. Capitalism would be buying your car completely with cash, then having it stolen the next day and being out the car and the cash and riding your bike to work.
Second, what you're buying with your insurance premium isn't car replacement or repair (which in your case you correctly pointed out, you didn't in fact receive). Your premium pays for the peace of mind of knowing that regardless of whether or not your car was damaged or stolen, you'd still have a car.
Do you feel overall better (having paid for health insurance) by getting cancer? I didn't think so. Paying for insurance and not using it makes you a winner, not a loser.

No dude. I've never carried anything but liability. That means my insurance payments are being made in case I cause a wreck. And I have not in thirty years of driving.

Ya know if Hamas wouldn't cut my goddamn head off becuz I'm a sex offender and infidel, I'd be on the first plane over there to get in the action. I made this decision ten minutes ago when i saw Ron Dermer on CNN and was immediately taken aback by his haircut. How he's got a two on the sides but like a seven on the top. I can't stand fades like that.

A car insuranceless system is conceivable but very many other things would have to be different for that to be workable.
Like for example u wouldn't pay liability insurance, but if u ever caused a wreck u would have to pay a flat plenty fee.
In turn, the damage done to your car by joe when he hits u is paid for by the penalty fee joe paid.
But like I said, you'd have to change a lot of other shit to make that possible. It would end up being a government think like obama care or something.
The point is, look at this fact alone: u would not be paying $50-$100 a month every month to some entity that does nothing for u and never gives that money back. U would essentially be eliminating the private citizen's need for being insured by an entity that charges u for the service of being able to pay the outrageous costs, mechanical or medical, in the event that u are involved in an accident.
Insurance is white collar thuggery and loan sharking. Another capitalist swindle we are obligated by law to be involved in.

Nope, you don't have to have car insurance but you have to register your car which covers insurance for bodily injury to yourself and others. (Hospital stuff - seems reasonable to me - $50 for 3 months I think I pay on my rego for the insurance component)
