Oh dear. Poor fellow needs to be told what to think by the media, but only select media. Allow me to elaborate.

They certainly trained you well to not think of causes or connect dots.

The Democrats run the schools in Baltimore. The schools are not teaching math.

Ergo, as an expression of their hatred for America, The Democrat Party is keeping the little children stupid, because, it's not like how to teach math is a mystery, although it well may be for teachers who were indoctrinated as children in US government schools.

Keeping the little children stupid about math and many other things, such as Civics and History, makes the indoctrination easier. The little children will view their world through the filters of their Democrat Party indoctrinations, until they are old enough to vote Democrat, which will be 16** if The Democrat Party that Hates America has its way, and it easily could since the teachers invariably vote Democrat and thus are likely to make it so, with their wily ways of any means necessary, along with from each according to his ability*, to each according to his need (easily remembered indoctrinations.)

Because of their indoctrinations, by the time they are wearing big-boy and big-girl clothes (unlike US Senator Fetterman who was elected by Democrats while he was convelesing from a stroke, because they Hate America and likely Fetterman too) the indoctrinated adults could easily view as obsessed those who accurately connect the dots, such as myself, to arrive at logical, rational, pertinent and real-world-based conclusions, as a matter of routine ... say, the possibility does exist that you are a baselessly proud graduate of the Baltimore school system. Could it be?

The little children, indoctrinated by The Party that Hates America (to stay on point), will know all about obsession by the time they can vote, because part of their indoctrination from early on is to be obsessed with educational non sequiturs such as sexual identity, sexual acts, sexual perversions and fashionable expressions of that sexually such as cross dressing and corn holing (but not the nuclear family expression of heterosexuality) ... none of which was specifically not mentioned in the article.

Did you know that Nancy Pelosi's (D) adult daughter was pushing Senator Feinstein around the capital building in a wheelchair so she could cast Senate votes affecting the USA right up until the day she (Feinstein) died, and when voting she did not even have power of attorney over her own affairs. For the Democrats it's Party First, not humanity.
