Both,
But the United States is too far removed from "small government" policies. We're in a whole new Era, one in which the Conservative-Right has not caught up. And the Republicans can't afford to lose these current and looming battles. They will determine the future of America, and the world to come.

If I were a Nazi then I'd be a National Socialist with a racial agenda.FlashDangerpants wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 11:12 amAnd that blood libel is how everyone can know that you are a nazi.
I'm not a Nationalist.
I'm not a Socialist.
I do not have a racial agenda.
...so even your slander is just, piss-poor. Can you at least up your game? I'll help you. Call me "Anti-Semitic" at least.
Even though, as I said and will argue, I'm neutral about your Jewish tribe, Israel, Zion, whatever.
And I will enjoy my neutrality, despite your Satanic accusations, for a long time to come.
Re: The American Republic has Ended, What Next?
Also, please stick to the topic.
Since you're out of rational arguments, at least slander me in the context of the OP, try "MAGAt", that's a good one.

Re: The American Republic has Ended, What Next?
OK, you guys are avoiding actual On Topic stuff, but let's see ig you can manage that which Jacobi and Mannie cannot...
Which conspiracy theories are you relying on for your analysis?
Are the judges all bought so as to allow the state to advance inadmissable evidence? Are the jury all bought? Is he not able to afford lawyers or something?
Have all the appeals courts been bought? Trump has already had appeals to restore attorney-client priviliges he lost under the crime-fraud exception, but he lost those as well because the courts determined that he had used his own lawyers to further some crimes, which is why so many of his lawyers are under indictment with him. If he had a stronger case, the Supreme Court would already have reasserted his attorney-client privilege, and he might even have got somewhere with his assertions of Excutive Privilege as well (all denied).
He's lost a lot of cases already before he even gets to trial. He's tried to remove prosecutors, judges and grand juries, and lost all the way because there are mountains of pretty good evidence against him. His own staff have already turned on him and are sources of evidence in the mar-a-lago case, in the Georgia case his co-defendants are about to turn on him. Especially now Meadows has put himself into a perjury trap.
But that's all by the by... 1st amendment is an easy win. For the crimes where he has a 1st a way out, he should be demanding speedy trials so he can end the case and go victorious & vindicated into the election.

So if we exclude black gangbanger gun violence, in Chicago, LA, Detroit, etc. then the United States suddenly and dramatically is safer than European countries, with less gun homicides...FlashDangerpants wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 11:20 amYou did a whole thread about "true racism" in which you accused black people of being highly violent and you claimed to have provided a racially causal explanation. So you definitely do have a racial agenda.
Then how do you respond???
How is that "Racist", when it's just the truth?
Re: The American Republic has Ended, What Next?
How about, just read the thread, stay on-topic, resist your urge to Slander and Accuse, which you so excel at doing?FlashDangerpants wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 11:23 amOK, you guys are avoiding actual On Topic stuff, but let's see ig you can manage that which Jacobi and Mannie cannot...

Suppress what you're good at, work on what you're weak at.
Alexis already stated that the timing of the charges against Trump, is the main tell, and also what delegitimizes the charges in general. And he's right, because the intent of the charges are not incriminate or prosecute solely, but to prevent Trump from running and winning the 2024 Election, which he is due to win by most accounts already.
So that's what this is all about. That is its core motivation.

But but but...you and Flash make it too easy sometimes...!
Your flaw in this debate, is your lack of conviction on the OP. It's important to have a belief, a "dog in the fight" so-to-speak. Dog fights are a lot more significant when your poodle is winning or losing. That's why it's important to take stock of your own beliefs and values, against your opposition. I live in the United States. This shit matters here, unfortunately.
And since you're an English speaker...(writer, technically) it's going to matter to you too eventually, since USA pretty much dictates precedent and determines cultural direction throughout the Anglosphere (including South Africa).

And as I mentioned to Jacobi.... Trump has already lost a bunch of court cases to even get to this position. Which of the recent US presidents (Obama, W. Bush, Clinton, H.W. Bush, Reagan), were criminally prosecuted by the Department of Justice *AFTER* their terms were expired?
Just guess how many times, up to now...
HInt: Answer is in the single digits.

Idiots just never learned any game theory. Prisoners dilemmas lead to sub-optimal outcomes for all players. Whichever team you choose in the culture war you lose.
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
