Then how will you know based on what anyone else says?Gary Childress wrote:I don't know.

She took your money and gave you God; of course you are miserable. That's a terrible deal.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 4:42 pmThat could be. Ever since the woman I am in love with introduced me to Christianity I've been miserable.Harbal wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 4:15 pmI don't really know what you think about God; but I would say you think it far too much.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 4:00 pm
I don't think there "might be". I hope there is (albeit a good God or whatever).

Thank you, Harbal! Only you can make art this way. Maybe I'm chasing after the wrong gender.Harbal wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 5:13 pmShe took your money and gave you God; of course you are miserable. So how do you know it is not the product of a human mind, uniquely envisioned as to 'make it real' in many varying ways to those who do... or not at all envisioned, making it unreal to those who don't?Gary Childress wrote:I don't know.

I don't know. Any suggestions on how I might know that?Lacewing wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 5:53 pmGary Childress wrote:Heaven is not in my mind. Either there is a heaven or there is not. Seems that you want suggestions (and answers) for how you can know things within the boundaries/limitations you have set for knowing.

That everything can be answered with a definitive and simplistic 'yes' or 'no' without any considerations for broader perspective and variables.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 6:35 pmWhat boundaries or limitations have I set for knowing?
Re: Where is there a good God?
Life is not a death sentence. It is not lonely either.
What if the God (the creator) is neutral (both good and evil)?
Re: Where is there a good God?
Life is a death sentence.
Life is a sexually transimtted condition which is always fatal.
What's the point of a neutral god?
What does it do?
What is it for?
How can it be god and neutral. If it creates then it cannot be neutral.
Re: Where is there a good God?
What if you are wrong and there is a life after death?
God does both good and evil.
Without God, there would be nothing.
By neutral I mean that God does both good and evil.
