Yes, he seems to be assuming that all gays were sexually abused. Which is not what Peterson believes. And in fact one of the problems Peterson sees with the current social climate around transpersons is that gay kids are getting the impression or being told they are actually trans rather than gay.

So, as you imply, if children are "acting sexual" before puberty, then that's highly suspicious. What are most pre-pubescent children doing?

They're imitating their parents, what they see on tv, however they've been impressed or pressured by peers.

The vast majority of children are "grossed out" by suggestions of sexual behavior, like "kissing", which they instinctively feel is gross, repulsive, disgusting.
