"You have to admit that people need to be protected against paedophiles and other predatory monsters don't you?"
my first question to any parent with the above concern is: why would u bring a child into this shit world in the first place, knowing there are pervs everywhere?
LOL
LOL
LOL
I am NOT sure how 'far afield' your vision allows you to SEE BUT there are NOT so-called 'pervs' EVERYWHERE.

quiz question: who's fault is it if a parent's child is sexually assaulted? the parent, the offender, god? careful, these questions of causality are extremely complex.
OF COURSE it is the 'parents' job to 'protect' 'their children'. But, it is NOT 'the parents' 'fault' for what "another" does to 'their children'.
Unless, OF COURSE, 'you' are here 'trying to' BLAME the FAULT of what 'you' DID on someone "ELSE". Is this what 'you' are 'trying to' do here "promethean75".

now the actual answer is 'nobody's fault but god's (if god exists)' becuz there is no such thing as freewill.
What are 'you' ON ABOUT here now?
you are NOT here SERIOUSLY 'trying to' DETRACT AWAY FROM the IRREFUTABLE Fact that children NEED to be PROTECTED, FROM Wrong DOING adults, are 'you'?
promethean75 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 11:18 am
but let's pretend that there is freewill and god is not responsible for everything that happens in the universe. why would u absolve a parent of responsibility if and when they deliberately bring a child into this shit world knowing what might happen to it?
Are 'you' here 'trying to' SUGGEST that because 'this, adult CREATED, world' is a so-called 'shit world', then this MEANS that 'you' can do WHATEVER 'you' like to ANY child, of ANY age, BECAUSE parents brought those children into this 'self-perceived' 'shit world'?

(p.s. this is a rhetorical question meant only to confuse and baffle u)
BUT 'it' is NOT confusing NOR baffling me. RATHER, YOUR question here is JUST REVEALING MORE ABOUT 'you'.

here's some facts for u to meditate on, taken from:
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog ... registries
Most sex crimes are committed by someone known to the victim, and thus, once identified, they no longer have access to potential victims. In fact, 93 percent of all sex crimes against children are committed by someone known to the victim, such as a family member, friend, or community member.
Almost all (95 percent) of sex crimes are committed by someone who would not be on the sex offender registry—which means that only 5 percent of reoffending could be prevented by these registries.
Sex offenders have relatively low reoffending rates—a large scale study of over 29,000 convicted sex offenders found that 13.7 percent reoffended sexually
There is evidence that sex offender registries may actually increase the risk of reoffending by destabilizing the offender as they try to reintegrate back into the community.
Sex offender registries are fraught with error. Studies have found that anywhere between 10-75 percent of all entries in the registries have some sort of factual error.
pay close attention to #4. now watch this: to continue supporting SORNA even after understanding these facts means that you want nintety-five percent of sex offenders to suffer life sentences and be hated by everyone so that you can (hopefully, not certainly) prevent that tiny five percent from reoffending and assulting children that the parents are responsible for bringing into this world in the first place.
see what I just did there?
now the criminal justice system knows all this shit. in fact, they're the ones who have examined the data and come to these conclusions. so why does SORNA still exist? becuz the ones who design and support it aren't the ones suffering from it, and there's a very lucrative market for sex crimes in the criminal courts.
