That is the original English essay as provided by marcuse's family, so don't claim translation issues, and yes I've read it (well, 3/4ths of it, rest will be finished tomorrow due to my copying of the text).
I was looking for some stuff on Marcuse and noticed the claims he originated Political Correctness comes from this essay. What he actually advocates is far worst, comes off as a parallel to the Marxist Nazi state in manipulating public opinion by outright suppression, silencing and violence against unwanted regressive speech. Who doesn't want that speech? Marcuse and his kin.
He targets only bad speech aimed at violence, or ideologies full violent intent, including government, yet somehow he and his forces are immune to this analysis and are completely justified. He also has the stalinist air of a eternal cycle of justified revolt and revolutions until a stateless society of tolerance is reached.... cause all the intolerant people are gone.
Marcuse was one of the founders of the New Left, and I see alot of woke characteristics in his work.
Who actually gets to survive under political correctness? Who gets to speak? Only those who say the right words infront of a professor? The outrage mob?
