Just renewing my subscription for PN, and thought I'd be brave and say hi, coz I'm a timid lurker.
I am a rural midwife in country NSW, Australia, but a New Zealander by birth. I have no formal background in philosophy, just an interest. At the moment we're using Being in Time to prop up the underneath of our bed, as it was just the right thickness. Martin H would, I feel, have given me a curt nod of approval.
I am married to a midwife, and we have three children. We live on 74 acres of scrappy bush.
Best Wishes
Finn

Hi, and welcome to the forum (or at least to not lurking any more
)
Re: I love Derrida, Rorty, Kierkegaard and midwifery
Welcome finn, I love your intro, and look forward to hearing more from you. Honestly, we are not worth being timid over. Just think of us like the farm animals you must already be familiar with.
My mind is 74 acres of scrappy bush, so we have that in common.
Welcome.
