Are the mods active?
Are the mods active?
I just want to know because I’ve been making posts and have to keep waiting on the mods to approve them.
Re: Are the mods active?
Hello there. Two of our volunteer mods have by coincidence both been away for a little while. I was a bit busy too, and only just spotted the queue for approval of posts. Sorry about that.
For anyone new here who might be wondering, the Philosophy Now forum's settings are such that the first post by any new forum member has to be approved by a mod before it becomes visible to other forum users. We've found that this is absolutely essential to prevent the forum from becoming swamped in spam postings. Even now, looking at the lengthening moderation queue, I can see that about 80 percent of the posts waiting for approval are by spambots.
The good news is that once your first post has been approved by a moderator, all subsequent posts you make on the forum will appear immediately without needing to be pre-approved.

Oh, ok then. I was just wondering. I had been waiting a few days and tried to message the mods but no response.
Re: Are the mods active?
I've got a riddle:
What appears from behind a veil, acts like a sock puppet, and is the undeclared non-primary account of another user?
I think Darkneos has this one.

To OP:
You should ask Pistolero, if you know them, about the mods -
they had a similar question and I think recently found the answer.

Are you saying that you are a mod then?Ben JS wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 1:52 am I've got a riddle:

What gave you that impression?
Feminine intuition?
Re: Are the mods active?
Well, there are two things wrong with this post. 1, it is posted, so what the hell do you mean by approval?
2, See my post on my latest trip, it will show you how quickly they respond to something they do not like. View the pictures.
Re: Are the mods active?
I did not know that. Things have changed a bit since I was last on a few years ago. I am only here now, because one part of my grammar project is done, and as they say, when trying to figure something out, doing menial tasks lets your mind work, while you are playing around.RickLewis wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 12:04 am Hello there.
