Re: Philosophy of Mind
I got to see the truth of well off people, most from inheritances, and how the inherit system works. I got to see the system close up and how it worked most interesting too.
Being lower middle class my dad worked for the Government as boilermaker my mother a clerk in a clothing store. I never been in peoples houses like these what a trip because I learned that their overabundance of wealth didn't not interest me and they felt that I am sure they felt very comfortable around me they felt they could trust me with the treasures. I have so many wonderful stories of my experiences in the house cleaning service maybe someday write them out. Knowledge I learned I felt was enlightening, but glad to be out of people's intimate lives.

A good theoretical reasoning first and then experience, not till then, is perfect in the art of speaking or writing. I love this process of division and generalization; they help me think. All the great arts require discussions of high speculation; hence come loftiness of thought. The person who knows will always know best how to discover the resemblances of the truth.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
The phenomena of knowledge is wisdom, insight, understanding, and observation. The pathway is nothing less than the whole realm of truth and in such that truth set forth not as an abstraction but consciousness or more so virtue of consciousness.
Then consciousness becomes identified with a very stage proper of practical theoretical and dialectical knowledge; one emerges from the other and in doing so each results from the other. Wherever there is inner and outer, cause and effect, and means subjectivity-objectivity, etc., there is life.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Mind perceives either by the help of sight or hearing or some other senses something like it or unlike something. I speak not only of knowledge, reason, beauty, goodness, justice, holiness, all that is stamped of essence.
Socrates believed we acquired knowledge before born or at least at that instant of our birth we had knowledge but have forgotten therefore by the use of senses recover what you previously knew. Then knowledge is rightly termed recollection.
You will not easily find a more difficult knowledge then Mathematics or Arithmetic’s, yet they has a great elevating effecting and compels the mind to know. Those of you who have a natural talent for numbers are generally quick at every knowledge; are the best learning natures should be trained in and never give the study up.
Geometry the study of vision where full perfection and which all geometry must behold. Not in a narrow manner of squaring and extending and applying. But drawing the mind towards true knowledge. Numbers are a necessary in all arts and sciences and intellects are used in common in the attainment of truth. Turn and gaze and behold not in a narrow manner of squaring and extending and applying and the like, only confuses the activity; the essential nature of numbers lies in the universal element of principles, consist of laws. Not to be transformed and transmuted . This is in the mind of everyone and most good.

Reason the bare path of empty intentions knowledge comes on the scene liberates the pathway to carry out purpose. Few hang on to reason with difficulty, yet whatever is done and whatever happens that brings us from night to daylight reason must be there.
Knowledge is the monitor of reason declares certainty and truth.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Truth is framed by mind tested by senses. All sentient creatures have a beginning and an end, but
reason is self with a definite subjective internal existence actualized.
What we do brings certainty of our existence. Reason is the content we seek to actualize. Therefore think away from self or fall to the lot of those who are lucky enough end to accomplish reason. We cannot know whether what happens is not a chance accident.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Knowledge has two companions, intellectual and visible. Intellectual elevates mind to the highest principles of the art of reason.
The heaven and all creation would collapse and stand still, never again be in motion without reason that all sensible creatures aim at. The faculty is skillfully disposed in self reason with a view to render self clear and intelligible.
Reason assures us what is real. The senses can not ever assure us of anything if knowledge does not intervene and lead towards truth, and lights up the chaos. Knowledge is attained in the company of reason, as far as one can gets rid of eyes ears and body, they are seen as hindering the acquisition of knowledge, which is best when the mind aspires after not worldly things that trouble us.
A person who knows will always know best how to discover the resemblances of truth. There is nothing that assures us of anything without knowledge because there is always some contradiction present without knowledge we would be confused in what is or what is not.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
If this knowledge were given honor philosophers would want to come, and there would be unremitting heartfelt search apprehended by reason and intelligence.
The astronomer should have a feeling when looking at the movements of the stars. That heaven and the things in heaven are framed by god in perfect manner.
The heavens should be used as a blueprint view to higher knowledge, Socrates believed, the hand of Daedalus, or some other great artist, any geometrician who saw them would appreciate the exquisiteness of work. Let the heavens alone if reason to be of any real use.
There is perfection that all philosophers ought to reach starts on the discovery by the light of reason without any assistance of the senses perseveres until intellect is as Hegel calls, the release of the prisoner from chains, and from the shadows to the images and to the light, and the ascent from the underground den to the sun the shadows of true being.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Seeking truth we must clear out opinion it causes dishonest administration. This is no easy task, to leave a clean slate but whether easy or not lays the difference between great societies. Nothing imperfect is the measure of anything, the highest truth worthy of attaining the highest truth is good, that is the highest all other things become useful and advantageous only by good.
.
The sophist calls good to be that in, which the wild beast takes pleasure in and evil to be that which the wild beast has an aversion. The true philosopher uses opinion not as principle , but as a hypotheses only, a starting point. That is to say a step of departure into a world which is above opinion, from ideas, through ideas, and ends in ideas. The pathway of knowledge is a whole realm of the truth and in such that truth is set forth not as abstract, but as consciousness or more so virtuous consciousness.

Did you see the video of one of the student protesters in England ran up the stairs to find the head of the philosophy department of the university he finds her asked what she had to say about all of this chaos surrounding them? She said to the student "I have nothing to say .
My husband said he had never met a philosopher who had nothing to say.

A wise person speaks with authority when it is its own life.
There is no pleasure quite true and pure when the just society overthrows the unjust society except the philosophical society--all others are a shadow only; and surely this will prove the greatest and most decisive of falls.

Despair in the face of pressure from impact self-preservation is really all we have to stand on, only the float to get through the inhumanity confronting especially these days.
Socrates believed the need to make sure no disorder occurs in self and feed on noble thoughts and prayer. Also, do not to be dazzled by the thoughtless praise stacked on humankind.
Ethical order within self creates a fair society where simple universality is realized has worked its way out of indifference and unfeeling into world-spirit, wisdom, and insight makes an appearance. Socrates believed an ethical society is the pulse of philosopher takes effort in reaching concord, beauty, good, and magnificence. Philosophers if they want to do their work in life must make these, beauty and grace; and good into everything that flows like a gentle wind from a purer region.
The task of philosophy to reawaken the mind spirit, which has fallen into such disunity in such a way citizens roam wildly unfettered without ethical order.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Ethics is essentially as much spiritual as it dominates action of community set outside the family, Living in the world; must not be taken as if it were merely an act of experience The ethical act is a process of knowledge and must be substantial in character and universal that lifts self out of the life of chance and change, into world peace, a simple universality.
That is if philosophers want to do their work in life. They must make these their continuous aim the true nature of the beauty and grace; and receive the good and beauty in everything shall flow like a gentle wind from a purer region, into likeness with reason.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Knowledge comes on as the instrument of reason, the liberator and pathway. Whatever is done and whatever happens we must have knowledge, because wisdom, insight, and understanding carries out reason. The pathway becomes the same with the very stage proper of mind derives from knowledge Imagination can never assure us of anything if knowledge is not there . Little by little raise mind to everything that gives knowledge it the acme of scientific procedure and cannot continue to be an ignorant analogy passed off as knowledge.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Knowledge goes beyond self, to the object and progress towards b without a halt, and at no earlier stage is satisfaction to be found. That which is confined to self cannot go beyond its immediate existence;
but when forced beyond that; wrenched out of its setting immediately transcends what is limited, and, since this latter belongs to it, consciousness transcends its own self.
Self suffers this violence at its own hands; it destroys its own limited comfort of unthinking indolence, knowledge agitates the thoughtless indolence as a form of sentimentality fear of the truth may conceal self from self and behind others the pretext that precisely vanity is capable of being ever so much cleverer than any one
This sort of conceit which understands how to belittle truth and turn away from truth back into self, gloats over this selfish private self, which always knows how to dissipate every possible truth, the barren Ego self satisfaction must be left to self; for self flees the universal truth and seeks only an isolated existence on its own account.
