Great! So you agree that he's lying.
I do not personally know you are telling the truth to vouch for him that he is lying.
Skepdick wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 7:40 pmI am what I am.
Saying I am what I am not is lying.
Saying I am not what I am is also lying.
I am what I am is closer to the truth than saying I am a policeman.
Everyone is an I and can say I am what I am, and that I am what I am ...which is, I am I ..that's obviously self-referentially verifable and self-evident to everyone.

Do you personally know that I am lying?
Because if you don't then why won't you take me on my word?

They are both equally true.

You don't like philosophy do you?
If your philosophy causes you to think I am lying when I am infact telling the truth, then your philosophy is just as garbage as a philosophy which causes you to think I am telling the truth when I am in fact lying.

I can believe or disbelieve you. But my beliefs would only be a representation of a truth, not an actual fact. Facts are presentations as they are being witnessed in realtime as actual and real.

In both cases you are wrong - fix yor philosophy.
There is only YOUR philosophy.
We've already been over the (truth or lie) philosophy umpteen times already, and it seems you are still on that mental treadmill going nowhere.

Me being a policeman is a fact. Whether you believe it or not.

I don't have one. Philosophy is bullshit.

I am not the one going in circles - I know that I am a policeman. You are the one who can't decide (despite me having told you) what's true.

It may well be a fact to you, but not to me, because I do not know you from Adam.

I don't have one either. And you are more than welcome to beleive me or disbelieve me.

Because philosophy is bullshit.
I don't have a philosophy, and you are more than welcome to believe or disbelieve me.
If there is such a thing as an ''owned'' philosophy then it will be a 'Your' philosophy ..whether it's owned by you or me still translates as a 'Your' philosophy.

I kind of just know you are, and yes, that's all I've got.
And that's why you are a dumb philosopher and not a scientist.
The main reason I'm not a scientist is that I've never had a wish to become one. I'm not saying that I'm not too dumb to be one, I could well be, but I never tried to be one.
I'm not a philosopher, either; I'm just an ordinary bloke who posts on a philosophy forum.

And like ordinary blokes you default to philosophical principles (a.k.a cognitive biases) to resolve uncertainty for you.
Instead of simply saying "Actually, I don't know".
