There's no danger of this part of Harbal ever stopping, I can vouch for that. It's delicious isn't it. There is nothing wrong with making fun of things/life/ourselves.
WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
That's not information. That's misinformation. It's flat out false.Age wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 12:24 am 'you' may well have absolutely NO idea here "skepdick", but I can and WILL inform 'you' that 'you' are LESS 'safe' in a society with MORE 'weapons' than 'you' are in a society with LESS 'weapons', and thus conversely 'you' are MORE 'safe' in a society with LESS 'weapons' than 'you' are in a society with MORE 'weapons'.
Societies with less weapons on the left.
Societies with more weapons on the right.
Of course, your feelings about weapons are impervious to data.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
That's not an issue according to Skepdick. He has no problem with himself or with other human beings and their unpredictable behavior, that's why he needs to own a gun.
This whole discussion relating to the need for more guns and personal gun ownership, is according to Skepdick just a silly game of splitting hairs.
He has no argument at all, his attitude to those opposed to gun ownership is blasé and just an irrelevant unimportant issue to deal with, and is why America will continue to play the fun game of ''shoot-em-up'' as if their country was just one big super sized fairground where people are free to entertain themselves by actually playing the game of cops and robbers, cowboys and indians for REAL. Forgetting that they are not children playing with toys anymore, and that people actually die for real, not pretend to die.

Grown ups don't have to argue when there's centuries of evidence contrary to their feelings.
Grown ups also settle for pragmatic solutions like "Why not put armed guards in schools? That's cheaper and far more likely to work in practice than trying to ammend the constitution, trying to usurp 250 years of history and disarm 300 million people."
It's Children who prefer idealism like "TAKE ALL THE GUNS AWAY!"

What else are the gun toting adults to do with their life, other than to continue to play out their beloved childhood memories for real.
Carry on, it's your funeral after all. But some people around the world have moved on, they have matured and have grown up, they no longer feel the need to play out their childhood games anymore on the real stage of life where toys are not toys anymore, they are real deadly intimidating weapons of mass destruction.

My guns are weapons of love.
I'd kill if you ever hurt or endanger those whom I love and have undertaken to protect
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Yes, it seems the love you speak of is unconditionally free to kill itself in it's desire to protect itself, from itself. So be it.
Me, I would rather not be born, than to live in a world that needs to protect itself from itself. That's just mentally messed up, it's surely better to have been born a dinosaur. Oh wait, nothing has changed for life on earth, it's kill to survive, and survive to kill, eat to survive, and survive to eat, live to make money and make money to live.
Great game. Wonderful, just truly amazing to be a part of all this killing and cannibalism to ensure our own protection against ourselves business.
But I am born, so I guess I'll just have to live with the consequences of being born with unconditional acceptance and surrender.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Long, long ago, when I was a kid, and children were allowed to play with toy guns, we lost interest in them as we grew older. Your attitude is the childish one; you've never grown up.Skepdick wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 7:20 am

Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Did you outgrow toy cars and airplanes also? You must be very fit to walk long distances...
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Humans are LUCKIER than the rest of natures animals because they are able to protect themselves from the big bad bloody world of wolf eat wolf mentality. They invented objects that can put a stop to their lives from ever being threatened by other people's incompetent, sloppy, lazy, wreckless, careless, selfish, greedy nature.
And they called that LOVE
And they called that LOVE
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Vehicles have a purposeful use, they get people from A to B.. it's called clever ways to get around the globe without putting in much effort.
We built vehicles to better and improve our living standards, and so that we could spread our wings and make use of the entire globe.
What use is a gun? oh wait, is it to disempower our living standards, yes, I remember now. They're use is to intimidate, to demoralise and dishearten us into believing we are simply not safe from one another without them. And they called that LOVE
It's like..I love my kid so much that I am going to make another kid an orphan, because that kid is unimportant, as long as my kid is ok. And they call that LOVE

Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Cars and aeroplanes were part of the real, adult world, whereas we knew that guns were just part of the fantasy world of cowboys and indians, and the war films we watched. I suppose those who hadn't got guns out of their systems by the time they grew up were the ones who joined the army.
Actually, the more you say about guns, the more suspicious I am becoming that you are mostly talk, with not much behind it. I'm starting to wonder if you are a bit of a fantasist, yourself.
Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
So protecting your loved ones with claws and teeth is love, but protecting your loved ones with guns isn't?Dontaskme wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 8:18 am Humans are LUCKIER than the rest of natures animals because they are able to protect themselves from the big bad bloody world of wolf eat wolf mentality. Re: WE NEED MORE GUNS..
Looks like you received a sloppy education. Cars, aeroplanes, guns - all human inventions. All part of the "real adult world". Used by regular people as part of every-day life without any specific proffessional interest in the instrument; or the sub-cultures forming around it.Harbal wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 8:37 am Cars and aeroplanes were part of the real, adult world, whereas we knew that guns were just part of the fantasy world of cowboys and indians, and the war films we watched. Seeming as you haven't gotten cars and aeroplanes "out of your system" - did you become a race car driver; or a pilot?
