So it's a calories thing? Your wife can work out but for you the cbf has taken over and a big gun can sort out your short comings.
No. It's a time thing.
Why don't you just become skilled at walking/running/using your feet. What do you need a car or public transport for?
Are you compensating for your shortcomings?

..but allowing gangs to have guns and take over the "fucking city" is rational?

What a strange comparison. Owning a gun so you can more easily with out excertion kill people compared to running across town and not using a car!?

..idiot.
It's the exact same princiople - time convenience.

My police have guns dude...the gangs have great difficulty getting access to them. What you say about that?
So what does your police need guns for if nobody else has them?

This philosophy depends on the assumption that a laws on paper and police officers on speed dial are better alternatives to gun ownership.
How about you stop pretending it's an OR and not an AND?
I wat the laws AND I want the police AND I want a gun.
That gives me the best protection possible.
If the situation is really as bad you say, then I suppose it is understandable why a law abiding citizen would feel the need to have a gun, but then I would find it hard to understand why the streets of your cities are not constantly full of law abiding citizens demonstrating their disatisfaction with the government and police for their incapability to establish a much safer environment. That's their job, and they are obviously failing miserably at it, and it is baffling why so many are more interested in keeping their guns than they are in that problem being addressed.

What part of allowing EVERYONE to have guns is more sensible!?

Sure.
If I live in a civilised society I don't care who owns guns, nor do I think adding guns to an already civilised society will somehow turn people into violent murderous idiots.
And if I live in an uncivilised society then I need a gun anyway.

Duh. ..and control of a situation - where the fuck are you getting the idea our police have the right to execute citizens?
"Control a situation"? What do you mean by that?
Are you saying that police officers can use the THREAT of lethal force without actually employing lethal force?
attofishpi wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 1:41 pm
Again, how is allowing EVERYONE to have guns more sensible than just allowing police to have guns?
What's the difference between a police officer and alaw-abiding citizen?
Literally every person in your country is allowed to perform a citizen's arrest.

Now imagine what that number would've been without guns...

Homicide? What is that...an NRA stat shitfest no doubt!!
"Long-term homicide rates across Western Europe 1250 to 2020"
Oooo nooo - 70 people per 100,000 people died (nothing to do with guns btw) back when everyone was a kunt (homicide) to present.
Now Skeppy put things into TRUE stat perspective...provide a graph of the USA deaths by guns since 1700 to present in relation to percentage of guns per population for those years.
There is no such thing as "death by gun". Guns have no causal power.
Guns are used by humans in the commission of crimes. That's called a modus operandi.
