Generally, when people move to critiquing style -- 9 times out of 10 -- the purpose is to undermine what has been said.
That makes me the 1 out of ten, then.
What, if anything, makes sense, and what doesn't?
In my own way: I've already offered point & counterpoint to your perspective in the Christianity thread (and elsewhere). Anyone with an interest can go there. Broadly, though, my points and counters are plastered -- plainly, with next to no ornamentation -- in every substantial post I put up. Anyone wantin' to compare & contrast ought have little problem figurin' where I stand or what I think and how I stand with or against them.

As for this thread. I have little interest in going 'round & 'round with atheists about their religion, and no interest in the socializin'.

I stuck my head in the door only to say no, that ain't garbage...it's sumthin' worth payin' attention to.

Henry, you have just insinuated a great deal, but then declined to back it up. What value then does your comment have? What purpose?

This is how conversation goes here, so often it is painful.
t's sumthin' worth payin' attention to.
Yet even that needs to be pointed up .. or it is not really much of a statement.

Yes, we know it's something to pay attention to, we're just trying to figure out what to do with it now. Do you have any suggestions? Should we clean it up, let it stick, or hand him a prize?

But Henry has told us that it's not rubbish. So do we clean it up or let it stick?
I'm referring to this kind of babble :
Who sees two playing the same game, but the same one, not two. 🤷‍♀️
Ultimately nothing makes sense.

Don't make sense.

And, to take that literally: you certainly don't have to be sorry you don't agree. And then less literally: I know you don't agree. I assume you'd let me know if you agreed. I don't assume my responses will convince you.

For me it's more like this. You start a thread or make posts, sometimes calling in experts, to put forth a position. I reply, often, regarding how your position or these quotes don't convince me.

Truly, truly, I have little expectation that you will drop your position on things.

I've seen it happen in 20 years of online discussions, but it's so rare. I've shifted on a number of issues, but generally that connected more to experiences I had in the world and no while on line. Perhaps some online discussions did some nudging.
A 'someone' is an assumption, it is an idea.

The whole dialog above is unwritten, including this dialog that is being read right now. Where is the consciousness that is supposed to have written, and is reading this dialog exactly?

This whole thread is about not-knowing. An atheist is one who knows they do not know, and also knows there is No atheist who is knowing it is an atheist who knows it does not know.

There is no 'someone' who knows what consciousness is. It's obviously known, but it's never seen as an object or thing like a 'some thing' is.

If consciousness is an object that can be seen, then what does consciousness look like?

Then all you are doing is backing a dead horse by repeatingly flogging it.

It is where it is not, and it is not! I'm catching on to this. Hey, I like this game! But now I'm burnt and will need a rest. Whew! I thought Zen requires less exertion.

If it's a dead horse, then perhaps we should send what we thought was the goulash or whatever to the morgue or a pet cemetery? Please tell me you're not referring to my guest, dear. If so I had no idea I invited any dead animals into the forum. I apologize. This is just getting worse. I'm starting to regret having let him in.

@AJ you said you had a "pony in the race". Is the dead horse perhaps yours? Did you bring a pony with you?

Is that zen on the floor? If so what do we do with all that zen?

No, consciousness does not look like a luminous mosquito, try again.

And while you are at it with your pondering mind, try to imagine the world according to the world of a mosquito, if you can, then describe in detail, what the world looks like from the mosquito's perspective?

In fact just tell us what it is like to be a mosquito?
