Hi, my name is David John Griffin, an author who lives in Kent, UK. I am pleased to have just joined the Philosophy Now Forum.

I count myself as an "amateur philosopher", whatever that means! I've often mulled over philosophical ideas and concepts over the years, sometimes (in the later years) Googling for answers, other times working it through to come to my own conclusions.

It'll be interesting and educational to interact with like-minded people.

Welcome. You sound like a good person. What kind of books do you write? Are they philosophical? I'm working on a book of poetry that I hope to publish by the end of this year, provided the powers that be haven't destroyed the world by that time.
