George Carlin was heartily against political correctness. He hated the democrats and the republicans. His skepticism and hatred of government power at least when I followed him would be considered conspiracy theorist level negative (and spot on). Sure, he upset the religious, but he sure as shit upset feminists and other woke and wokish groups and he did it intentionally. He would have HATED all the cancel culture attempts and successes and as he clearly said many times would put his life on the line to defend people's right to say whatever the fuck they wanted. That does not IN THE FUCKING SLIGHTEST fit with the attitudes of woke culture. His ideas alone on the medical industry would have left him painted by the left as a conspiracy theorist.

You simply cannot put him in a woke box. He would have hated that and it's not true.

Of course in his long complicated career he said things that would piss off the right. Yes, he tended to hit at those with power who wanted to control others. He had ideas about power that fit fairly well with Left critiques.
