Let's put it this way: If you were a gambler, you would be hard pressed to find a safer bet.
Still, it is a good topic to use for ridiculing folks. Almost as good for that, as Christianity.

And that is because I make an effort to be understood.

Ridiculing folks who are trying to discuss philosophy, on a philosophy forum, makes you scab on philosophy.

How do you feel about being a scab?

I love being a scab, it's what keeps me from festering.

The only one you are praying all your dying love to is yourself.

Savvied you long ago, Scabby.

You trash the good will of folks who want to discuss philosophy, and you're a big whiner.

No, all you do is try to smell like a rose, and by ridiculing others, which you say Christianity is good for, you try to make them smell like shit.

Ok thanks for letting me know your feelings about this. I hope sincerely that no one ever dies from reading my trash or gets seriously mentally fucked up from having to listen to my whining.

I detect a hint of criticism in your comment, Walker. :(

Let's see if hope makes you stop trashing philosophy discussions, and let's see if hope stops you from whining.

My bet is, it won't. Any smart gambler will bet the same.

That's because of what's most precious to you.

You forget yourself, Harbal. Remember, I'm incomprehensible.

Gooroo talk:

If you chain an elephant it will fight the constraint. The elephant is strong enough to pull up your puny stakes. If you fight a thought it will fight the constraint while you’re watching it, and it’s strong enough to stay. You can’t fence them in, but once you can guide elephants and thoughts you can guide them to stillness and they won't go on a rampage. But guiding women? Good luck, Buck.
I don't want the role of guiding DAM. Just noting what seemed like a claim she would never change her mind about philosophy in a philosophy discussion forum while she is pontificating to others.

There's a not too pleasant dominance message in that combination.
You’re only fooling yourself with that one. You often try to guide her towards understanding the meaning of what you write, more than most try, and like I said and demonstrated for you, good luck with that.

You're likely to get a bunch of pictures and insults for your efforts. But you get no admission of understanding.

I and others here have long ago calculated the cost to benefit ratio of that little drama, (cost being the futility), and rarely need the practice of futility anymore.
