And when 'reincarnation' is looked at, from this perspective, then this notion of 'reincarnation' is not 'bonkers'
Dontaskme wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 3:46 pm You have never known death. Nor birth. You have no way of telling yourself you are alive or dead or asleep..

REINCARNATION Is Only A Demand For Permanence Of Thought. It is a demand for the permanently impermanence of permanence.

Reminds me of the phrase "how far will you go to ... ?" but then again, no! Is there any evidence for metempsychosis or are we looking at shoddy/sloppy research? Perhaps we should we keep an open mind rather than dismiss the idea right off the bat.

No, I think we need more arguments from incredulity. It's good role modeling.

Oui, oui mon ami! Let's craft more arguments and then watch 'em being demolished by the skeptics. It's gonna be fun!

Let's not sully bare assertions with reason.

Would knowing change anything?
I could only answer that if I knew.
You can think, can't you?

Same question, phrased differently. Is there any evidence that believing you will die causes death? If not, this means that belief and speculation, which cannot even account for who we are, where we are going, or where we came from, can neither cause nor prevent reincarnation.

How about we discuss, define, agree upon, and accept what the word 'reincarnation' refers to, EXACTLY, before anyone starts claiming that 'it' does exist, or does not exist, or even 'tries to' argue either way?

Or, is this just a silly suggestion and/or stupid way of doing things here?

Do what?

Did you NOT SEE the 'we' word here?

Or, are 'you' TELLING 'me' to do what I suggested above with and by "my" OWN 'self'?

But 'me' discussing, defining, agreeing upon, and accepting what the word 'reincarnation' refers to with and by "my" 'self' ONLY will only lead 'me' to where 'you', adult human beings, are now, when this is being written.

But if ANY one else would like to join in, to me, the word 'reincarnation' is like the words 'heaven' and 'hell', which, although very contrary to popular BELIEF when this is being written, all have absolutely NOTHING AT ALL to do with individual human beings.

To change, you first need to lose the caps, drop the questions, and forget how to be stubborn. The resulting freshness of perspective could be a boost in tackling larger questions, such as how all the elements of the universe simultaneously interact to deliver this very moment to the we'ers.

There are MANY ways to CHANGE.

Losing caps and dropping questions will NOT necessarily provide ANY thing productive.

And, if what one is saying is IRREFUTABLY True, Right, and/or Correct, then WHY would that one want to forget being stubborn?

But HOW all the elements of the Universe simultaneously interact to deliver this very moment is ALREADY KNOWN, and WELL UNDERSTOOD by the way.

Also, i NEVER suggested ANY one change.

And, EVERY one is ALWAYS CHANGING, ANYWAY. That is, of course when they are NOT HOLDING TO and STUCK IN a BELIEF.

That's right, and out of the many ways, those ways listed are your changes that can be independently verified, and they're so easy to do once the stubbornness has been left behind, in the dustbin of the past. Such a shedding will have results you have yet to know.
