Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

I think the idea of reincarnation comes from truly lived experiences.

However, these experiences from other lives have been misinterpreted.

This misinterpretation derives from the great difficulty in accepting the true meaning of this experience.
Because we find ourselves being the other!

This fact has dire implications. Because if I am also the other... there is only me!
And the horror of nothing grabs me.

To avoid this horror, one unknowingly imagines the game of reincarnation.
Where there is the world, which is other than me, and there is I who live cycles of birth and death.

While in reality what I have experienced is the One.

The horror comes from the fact that I remained halfway between being there and being.

Bonkers you want!?

Well, I think reincarnation is true. In November 2005, the night the sage introduced himself to me - from the 'aether' - he confirmed to me that we are reincarnated into the family that we deserve. God is\or runs something like an A.I. an auto-karma that runs throughout ALL matter, including your brain.

Sometimes I consider that our brains are like a network of databases to this God system. That our souls are the brains, linked by a pointer (look up C programming)...this pointer recursively traverses brain matter through time - thus when the material body dies it is remapped to a foetus based on the karma algorithm - not necassarily immediately, some 'stastis' holding point may be required until the right family\other are pregnant!

The sage, in 2010 told me something quite profound about my previous life (but that's personal)..
But, obviously, that one is dead. So, I am sure that that one does NOT care one bit if you inform us of what was so-called 'quite profound' that was told to you.
attofishpi wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 1:42 am So yeah, I have no reason to doubt a sage, thus believe reincarnation to be true.
What makes a 'sage', a sage?
attofishpi wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 1:42 am It also makes more rational sense than the standard Christian belief that we are all born once to live our lives and then get judged at the end.
LOL So you base what makes 'more rational sense' on some thing that makes NO rational sense AT ALL.
attofishpi wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 1:42 am Why should someone born into a well educated family with good moral standards be judged equally from that point of insertion to life as someone born into dire poverty and will little by way of moral guidance?
Why would someone question some thing as though it was real, when, obviously, it makes NO rational sense AT ALL, let alone having ANY sense, AT ALL?

The notion, (version or interpretation), of 'reincarnation' that 'you' and "others" here have is, as you put it, 'bonkers'.

But a notion, version, or interpretation of 'reincarnation', which actually works, is NOT, as you put it, 'bonkers', AT ALL.

you, and just about everyone else.

It is like when people see or hear the letters 'ufo', people have only heard one version only, and so only have that notion, no matter how wrong or 'bonkers' that version may well be.

"Ufo" usually stands for "unidentified flying object", which I interpret as a flying object with an unknown identity. The term, in itself, doesn't really tell you much.

Reincarnation is not something that occurs at death; it is something that takes place at every moment. Death and rebirth are occurring every second.

You have never known death. Nor birth. You have no way of telling yourself you are alive or dead or asleep..

REINCARNATION Is Only A Demand For Permanence Of Thought. It is a demand for the permanently impermanence of permanence.
