A general lack of responsibility about everything.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 10:02 amIt's specifically lack of responsibility to accidentally get pregnant, is that correct? Or do you mean it's a "lack of responsibility" for women to enjoy their early stages of sexuality?Maia wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 9:53 amWell, as I said, the problem is lack of responsibility in society. So you're ok with women enjoying their early sexuality to whatever extent so long as they don't get pregnant against their desires. Is that correct? However, if they do accidentally become pregnant, then they ought not "murder" their zygotes? Does that include teens as well? So a teenage girl in
school should carry through with her pregnancy rather than commit "murder". Is that correct?

It means teaching children how to be responsible citizens in all areas of life.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 10:09 amAnd how do you propose to 'tackle' that? Keep people in cages? Force them to wear chastity belts? How 'early' are you talking here? What would it involve? You clearly have never encountered horny teenagers, and you are also assuming that they are the only people who might require abortions.Maia wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 9:53 amWell, as I said, the problem is lack of responsibility in society. 'Lack of responsibility in society' is a very vague comment. What exactly does it mean?

How? At what age? About what? Not just about sex, about everything. At the earliest possible age. Actions have consequences.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 11:28 amHow? At what age? About what? So what would that look like around this specific issue, sex? Teaching children can mean many things and of course includes actions that have consequences. So, what actions are your proposing? And then what actions does society take in relation to pregant women who want to end their pregnancies? These also have consequences.Maia wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 11:30 amNot just about sex, about everything. At the earliest possible age. Young people should be taught that if they have sex, they might create another human life, regardless of how many precautions they take, and if they do, they are responsible for it. Both of them are.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 11:58 amSo what would that look like around this specific issue, sex? I wouldn't call that teaching. I would call that telling. Does this mean they are told that abortions are wrong per se? Is this regardless of the parents' beliefs?
Re: how do we survive our soul crushing world?
They should be indoctrinated and brainwashed, right from the cradle, just as they are now. Same methods, different content.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 1:34 pmI wouldn't call that teaching. From that basis of indoctrination, they can find their own way to the troof, once they have become self-aware as independent, self-sustaining entities in the universe ... just like they do now. Same life, same folks, same methods of teaching, but a different content. A content of population control via mind control. Is such a thing possible in the name of goodness, or is the act of manipulating a population itself something that is not good? It is possible to do, though, and the proof is oddball mass appeals, such as plastic surgery.
How to answer the question? Judge the content in terms of the ultimate measure, which is Life.
Begin with an intellectual, proper, study of Brahmacharya.
The Joy of Brahmacharya far outshines the Joy of Sex, and we're not talking shallow, superficial sex. Instill that in a child early and before you know it, they are tops in academics, sports, music. It's truly a miracle to behold. 'Tis the appropriate channeling of all that energy.

If they believe they can abort with impunity, this absolves them of responsibility. Responsibility in one thing, the most important thing, the creation of life, has a knock on effect in responsibility in all other areas.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 1:34 pmI wouldn't call that teaching. So, if effective, we end human life in one generation, this indoctrination of children. In the Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist monastic traditions, brahmacharya implies, among other things, the mandatory renunciation of sex and marriage.
A kind of anti-natalism.

Re: how do we survive our soul crushing world?
Don't be silly. Brahmacharya is bigger than any religion. You must look to the meaning. It is the proper channeling of energy, not the denial of energy. Energy is perpetual. As such, sex becomes both a natural expression of what it was always meant to express, and it becomes a responsible act because you are now a responsible person. Savvy? Drop that phone. Drop that video game. Exit the matrix, it's the wrong indoctrination.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 2:26 pmSo, if effective, we end human life in one generation, this indoctrination of children.

Re: how do we survive our soul crushing world?
I wasn' being silly. It refers to an idea in religions. And it entails what I said it entails. If you do some of the things that that word indicates, but not others, then use a different word.
Whatever you are talking about may well be, but that's a religious word. It's like saying I do a secular Holy Communion in the morning, to say otherwise.Brahmacharya is bigger than any religion.
So, what does it entail. If you practice this AND have sex, what differs this from what other people are doing? You must look to the meaning. It is the proper channeling of energy, not the denial of energy. Energy is perpetual. As such, sex becomes both a natural expression of what it was always meant to express, and it becomes a responsible act because you are now a responsible person. Savvy? Drop that phone. And so what is this process of teaching that leads to this outcome? What do you expect parents to do? And what happens to those who decide to abort? And what happens to doctors who perform abortions? And what happens to parents whose children get abortions?Maia wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 2:33 pmIf they take responsibility they won't have abortions.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 2:28 pmSo, as long as they take responsibility they can have abortions?
