notice how internet ads are getting out of control? YouTube is terrible. the goddamn ads are longer than the song I'm listening to.

in the future technocratic authoritarian capitalist dystopia, there will be no more movies or TV shows. everything, with the exception of the digital noise that music will become, will be a commercial of some kind. so you wouldn't go to the theater to see a movie, but a commercial. it'll be much shorter in length and written/produced around advertising some product or another. there'll be actors and storylines still but for the express purpose of advertising something.

It's all nonsense of course. We all look like apes because we ARE apes.
Well Mickstinks clearly doesn't mind your racist assertions anyway, so you're safe.

what i wanna know is why does the naegleria fowleri flagellate transform into a trophozoite a few hours after it enters the nasal cavity. and why does it follow the olfactory cell axon through the cribriform plate directly to the frontal lobe. why? WHY?

How does he know to go that way? What is he using Google maps?

three unfortunate souls died in my state from that tiny monster killing machine in the last couple years and I'm fixin to go swimmin in a lake but now I'm like maybe i should wait till it cools off a little. the fuckers thermophilic and can grow in a hunerd 'n fifteen degrees farin height. you believe that? and then in hostile conditions it turns into a defensive shelled cyst. Thing's like a fuckin transformer.

but infection is incredibly rare. i just feel like you don't even have to snort water up your nose to get infected. i think they just think that. like i think the thing could swim/crawl into your nose just by coming into contact with your nose. maybe attach to the edge of your nostril when yer swimmin and then walk the rest of the way up your nose after you get out like way later. that's some scary shit man but i think my chances are better to get hit by a bus, according to the stats. I'm going for it. the lake i mean, not the bus. I'll just gonna have to hold my nose like a leetle girl.

Seriously tho like why would you even create such a thing? Couldn't God have at least let us have a swim in the lake without having our brain eaten by an amoeba? We'll take the volcanos, the natural fires, the hurricanes, the birth defects, the cancer, even the ebola. But damn bro we can't even swim at the lake anymore?

No wonder Jesus walked on the water. He didn't wanna get in because you filled it with brain eating amoebas.

Ohhhhhhhh

Thank you, thank you. Really.

the ontological arguments for a god's existence aren't as strong as the fine tuning argument, which is much closer to a scientific argument than say Anselm's or Aquinas's ontological argument.

of all the great mysteries concerning the complexity of the cosmos and ever thing innit, the biggest biological one is perhaps why and how polymeric molecules form from monomeric ones. read that sonewhere in a yuge book on evolutionary theory. why and how mRNA and DNA evolved from simpler complex chains of molecules and became coded with chemical bits of information that instructed proteins on how to fold and bond to form organs(isms).

that really is pretty wild how that happened. I'm reminded of who said it? a room of monkeys would eventually produce the works of Shakespeare on a keyboard if given enough time.

the alien designer argument/explanation doesn't work because here the question is just moved onto them; how did they come about?

still as counterintuitive as it may seem to us, the most reasonable explanation is the evolutionary one. the conditions on the erf were just lucky enough to produce and provide for a unique biochemical event at some vent on the bottom of the ocean.

it's just odd how fine tuned it is. I'd never deny that. i just want you over zealous christian, muslim and Hindu dogmatist objectivists to know that. what I'm denying is your anthropomorphic interpretation of this.... this fuckin black monolith thing like in 2001. the great mysterious whateveritis that is responsible for this fantastically tuned universe. and I'm even considering the ninety five percent of space that's cold, black and empty like my heart.

i can only make sense of there suddenly happening an autopoietic event where there was enough stability in molecules at some moment to assemble into structures that started replicating by accident.

what's that futurist's name who when aksed 'is there a god', he replied 'not yet'.

what makes Rosa the Red such a great thinker is the bathos produced in her case. the tragedy is not that her thinking and theory is unworkable, but that she gives people too much credit, is too gracious and optimistic about human beings, etc., actually believing such a decent blueprint for a new kind of society could ever have its inception in the future.

but this is the fate that the visionary almost always suffers. he or she comes too soon and is sacrificed like a heretic on the alter of those like us... slowness in spirit and feebleness of intellect!

glory to the russian workers!

the ideological safety net of conservatism is the Christianity i think. it needs it to justify and ultimately redeem the dismal truths it admits to itself about human existence, also and incidentally the foundations of its free market theory. that man is naturally unequal in body and capability (but equal before god), selfish/egoistic and competitive, and to supress these things, as the state tends to do by interfering in private lives and/or the market, is aksing for trouble. better to let these things play out as god has designed them while we're waiting for the second coming of big J.

now it isn't odd that Christianity is useful here because note how grim and discouraging the conservative outlook really is. first of all none of that is true or it's true but just semantics. human nature is not fixed, people are also cooperative and charitable, unequal talents and abilities don't always need to result in zero sum games, and the state is supposed to be the people... not some other kind of entity standing above the people that controls and manipulates them.

so then this whole thing is a figment in the imagination of the conservative because nothing going on is what he thinks is going on. there's no fixed human nature, no particular economic model is necessary and there are many ways to arrange, organize and govern a market, no particular government model is necessary and there are many types of state, and finally there is no god watching over any of this who makes good in the end.

As a USAdian, by difficult questions from you regarding science and psychology I am thinking you are questioning:

...is the reason a man needs to spend a long time doing a poo, because he needs quiet time from his wife and kids to think about deep things...like...I wonder if my poo can eventually be beneficial to society?

....can poo eventually be turned back into burgers?

....can poo be turned into ammo to kill people overseas?

....can poo feed tigers that people in the US think are appropriate as pets?

..etc..(let me know if I need to spend more time on the toilet contemplating such matters)

how does god decide when it's your time to go? no I'm aksing a sirius question here. let's look at the possible ways to answer this question.

does god just know that was gonna happen (because he is omniscient) and just decided to let it happen, or is god not able to stop it, or did god make/want that to happen (1a. designed to happen from the beginning; arrow-of-time theory, 1b. would not have happened naturally and god had to intervene at some point)? if the last, at what point in the chain of causation does he intervene? earlier that day, right at the elevator moment, what?
