Does your memory suffer?
If you yourself are not clear on the values expressed through “the Christian vessel” now you know where you need to do research. Can I help by recommending some titles that have helped me?
Does your memory suffer?
Apparently.
just make with the ideas already. If you yourself are not clear

It is so basic. I won’t do it for you. But I will help you find good sources.henry quirk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:41 amApparently.

Yeah, if it's so basic: just put 'em down. Don't worry about me: let's have it.Alexis Jacobi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:45 amIt is so basic. I won’t do it. But I will help you find good sources.henry quirk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:41 amApparently.

A reverential attitude toward the ‘higher domains’ as expressed in the Ordinary of the Mass.henry quirk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:52 am And when I say let's have it I mean them ideas.
I got my own sources and own ideas about Christianity (laid out at various places up-thread).
What I'd like to see are the ideas you value, the ones in that container.
I have unusual distaste for people on forums who take that tone and attitude. I’ll gloss over it once.

As do I for folks who talk a lot but actually say little.I have unusual distaste for people on forums who take that tone and attitude.
By understanding that through the symbol of Christ an array of ideas is expressed. The ideas, if you choose to act upon them, if they touch you, are what is most important. You are the recipient and the principal actor.henry quirk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 2:28 am Let's start here...

There's an awful lot of Christ in there. How do you separate Him out from the higher domains?
So, as you reckon it: Christ Himself is just the container of this array, not the source.Alexis Jacobi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 2:55 amBy understanding that through the symbol of Christ an array of ideas is expressed. Christ is a symbol invested with a wide range of meaning.henry quirk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 2:58 am So, as you reckon it: Christ Himself is just the container of this array, not the source.
Cn a body know what yu think of that thar statement? The ideas, if you choose to act upon them, if they touch you, are what is most important. You are the recipient and the principal actor.
*We'll get to that. Bear with me. With apologies to Isaiah, my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.Alexis Jacobi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:17 amChrist is a symbol invested with a wide range of meaning.henry quirk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 2:58 am So, as you reckon it: Christ Himself is just the container of this array, not the source.
*Is your question What is the source of meaning? (Or meanin’ as the case may be).
