I have come here seeking philosophical enlightenment and the intellectual companionship of a forum of fellow truth-seekers. Back in my uni days I did a couple of philosophy courses which really sparked my interest. Particularly I'm fascinated with topics such as free will and determinism, philosophy of mind, political philosophy. The latest PN issue featured articles on Nietzsche and slave & master morality which I also found really intriguing.
A little bit about meself:
My homestead lies on the mid-west coast of Norway, in a beautiful little parish by the sea, the home of my ancestors for five generations before me. This is my Paradise Lost - lost to greed, lost to ignorance. Cruel Fate has exiled me to the southern, landlocked parts of England where I spend my days toiling with obstinate computers, and studying & learning on my spare time.
I'm a subscriber of the PN magazine which I thoroughly enjoy, and which is probably the main reason why I chose this particular philosophy forum over the other ones. I'm a co-administrator of another Internet forum, so it's always interesting to learn about the rules, norms, moderation style and culture of other forums.
