Is it ok to wear ( flaunt) symbols of murder weapons?
Where does one draw the line in the world of hypocrisy?

He painted himself in blackface to sing a Jamaican song. IOW he was specifically making himself took like a black person. The practice has a pretty ugly history, which doesn't mean he meant this in the way it used to be used, where black people were dehumanized and mocked by people in blackface, yes, sometimes singing songs sung originally by black people. And Trudeau has nothing to stand on complaining about the criticism since he is one of the most politically correct politicians, at least on the surface and in official positions.attofishpi wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 12:26 amI saw that episode - did the wookies get agitated over that?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 12:19 am Or 'Friends' when Ross had too much fake tan and ended up nearly black INCLUDING HIS FACE![]()
Apparently Justin Trudeau painted himself black for fancy dress party, I couldn't believe all the hysteria, it's the wookies that make it seem like being "black" is a bad thing - how ironic.
In all these discussions it's important to remember that there is a conservative pc and a religious pc and for vast periods of american history, and in my lifetime, the right had no problem with cancelling people who went against their version of pc. There were all sorts of taboos and things that couldn't be mocked and the punishments could be official and severe and worked out in the street and severe. IOW the right wing, often spot on in their critique of wokr/cancel culture should also own up to how happy they were with their own pc and cancel culture for so long. Otherwise it just looks like sour grapes that their pc got superceded.
That would depend on whether or not wokies decided it was 'offensive' to a 'protected group'. It's not beyond the bounds of possibility. Then again, newsreaders and presenters on public channels shouldn't be allowed to wear anything that makes a political statement, religious or otherwise, which is why it really fucks me off the way they all shove their stupid red poppies in our faces every chance they get. They are supposed to present an impartial and neutral face to the public. I don't want to know what the fuckers think.
Oh god don't get me started on the poppy scam. . MONEY, all about money...no one gives a fuck about soldiers who sold their lives to the money making filthy rich elites.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:19 am

You don't seem to understand what wokism is. I'm pretty sure golliwogs aren't 'banned'. You can still knit one if you really want to, but in the world of woke, if someone managed to dig up a childhood photo of a celebrity playing with a golliwog then that celebrity would more than likely be crucified and 'cancelled' in social media.
I know what wokism is..but my mind tends to wander all over the place...I mean should war toys been cancelled ?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:39 amYou don't seem to understand what wokism is. Why is a golliwog seen as offensive by the woke?
They never will be, because wokies love war. I would be happy for them to go out of production because they are extremely OFFENSIVE to me, but my being offended doesn't count for anything since I'm not in a 'special protected group'.Dontaskme wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:43 amI know what wokism is..but my mind tends to wander all over the place...I mean should war toys been cancelled ?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:39 amYou don't seem to understand what wokism is. Humans just make up the rules of life as they go along, the goal posts keep changing position depending on what model is more popular and working..In reality, no one alive knows what the heck they are doing...So really, at the end of the day, we're all the blind leading the blind.... And it's like, are we obliged to just go along with whatever is the flavour of the month.Iwannaplato wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:18 amIn all these discussions it's important to remember that there is a conservative pc and a religious pc and for vast periods of american history, and in my lifetime, the right had no problem with cancelling people who went against their version of pc.
