Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

He's witnessed hell if he's been to the DMV. And anyone who's been there knows precisely what I mean

Nope.
Why not?
The Bible says not.
It seems to me that you also cannot articulate a rational view too so what is left?
Well, that's an opinion, perhaps -- but not a fact. You don't know what I can articulate.

True but what makes people different is their tendencies.
Their "tendencies" describe only what they "may feel they prefer" to do, but may not actually ever do.

Their actual choices...that's the thing that really separates them from each other, because those are the things they actually do.
True, so you agree that people are different based on their nature?
No. I said they have a common nature, different inclinations, and make their own choices.

I want to see God.
Then what evidence would you accept?
Don't take me wrong. I am a spiritual person. Spiritual beings are tremendously strong. Anybody can claim that She/He is God by performing miracles. To know the truth of the matter one needs to witness the act of creation. Only in this case, one can say that she/he witnessed God.
What was the answer to my question?
I need to see that act of creation to ensure that I am witnessing God.
Look around you.

In Hell, nobody sees anybody. It's a place of separation, not of relationship.
How do you know? Did you witness the Hell?
The Bible says that's what it is. It also says you really don't want to go there.

"Mate"? Are we Aussies now? 8)

Well, you may not be willing to discuss free will, but it's very relevant, and there's no reason for us to assume Determinism.

Like I said: look around. Open your eyes.

That's exactly what Romans 1 tells you to do. If you look at the Creation, you're going to know there's a God. If you don't know, the only way will be because you're refusing to look at all.

The Bible was written by other humans who didn't witness an afterlife either, IC. Therefore, how is your reply anything more than an appeal to false authority fallacy?

How do you know that what is written in Bible is true? What is/are your reason/reasons?

Back to our business: What is written in Bible in regards that we could not marry God in Paradise?

People are all free since free will is the ability of the mind. They however have different nature/tendency that is the property of the body.

I am not talking about creation but the act of creation.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the Bible doesn't contain wisdom and observation of human social phenomena made by people who observed and experienced social phenomena from a participant's viewpoint (if you're getting at the notion that things that happen in the Bible also get played out in everyday living). What is disputed is whether or not there is a God and an afterlife. Those things are unverifiable. You cannot know for certain who the creator of the universe is if you did not witness the universe being created and you cannot know for certain if there's an afterlife if you've never been dead.

I read several passages of the Bible and have difficulty accepting it. Let's clear out the subject that we are discussing right now.
