The actual truth about human relationships.
Truth is, men and women absolutely cannot stand each other's guts. Not much different to cats really. However, they must pretend they do like each other, because if they do not pretend to get along, their lives would just be one huge black hole. And is why humans have had to USE other humans for their own selfish desires, needs and wants, until those selfish self-centred needs and wants are fulfilled. Once fulfilled, their needs and want's then shift to the next desire, need and want. And on and on and on this goes until death.
Reality for human existence is like living inside one huge giant candy store. There's so much to choose from but you cannot eat more than one candy at a time. Once you've had your fill, your next instinct is to be alone, to retire to the solitude of deep blissful rest known as sleep, until the next feeding urge arises upon waking.
Humans simply use each other like parasitic vampires, there addictions are so powerful, that no force on earth can stop it. This parasitic addiction is so powerful it can never be satisfied. Life for humans is a gaping void with nothing else to do but constantly feed to fill the void.
This is all that's going on within relationships. Women have babies to fill their life with what would other wise have be a gaping void. Men fill their lives with women to fill the same void that is for the women.. The many roles we choose to employ as in working for money through Self-Employment is another way to fill the void.
Yep, the universe is one big candy store, and we all know that eating too much candy, makes you vomit.
Humans adopt a pretentious, lying, cheating, parasitical con trick on others to get what they want..once they have got what they want from you, they will have no further use for you. Denial is futile.

Re: Does Romantic Love Exist?
Actually I think it's more that humans can't stand each others' guts but we've evolved all kinds of skills to hide this truth for the most part in order to get through life. Of course, every now and then the facade slips. Ever seen 'best friends' have an argument and fall-out?

Well said, and I totally agree.RCSaunders wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 4:10 pmEvery individual's experience is different, but mine is a little more than that. I'm in my eighties, and my wife in her seventies, and our love is more, "romantic," (because we've both grown so much) then ever. Perhaps it's our love, but my wife does not have a single grey hair, and just enough creases in her face to land character which has made her more beautiful to me. I feel sorry for those who find they've lost romance or find no beauty in those they love, but I'm afraid it is what most experience.
[I'm probably not a very good judge of feminine beauty because I am a helpless romantic philogenist (woman lover). I fall in love with almost every woman I meet and find them all beautiful. If you think this bothers my wife, it doesn't. She understands that a man who does not love women in general, will never love one in particular, with that special love that is forever, which is what romantic love really is.]

I wouldn't quite go as far as this but I would say that love, romantic or not, is an emotion, and like all emotions, nature has put them there for a purpose.

It’s rather lacking in gravitas.
Here’s a woman tearing the heart out of man, with Woman Logic.
There’s even some humour in the scene.

What a dummy he be.
By his age, most men have learned to not invite unbearable answers.
(short enough?)
(see the mistake in the clip?)

That was a show stopper.
- Time changes everything.
- In this case, it changed “funny.”
- Funny became, amusing.
- Amusing to men, men who have witnessed manifestations of Woman Logic in the world, and its power.
- Woman Logic can create, or destroy.
