Note
Survey: 56% of Philosophers Accept Moral Realism -2019
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=30893

The above 2019 is not precisely comparable to the 2020 survey because the respondents are not the same.
However the larger % in both survey that accept Moral Realism is indicative of the point.

"62% Philosophers Surveyed Accept Moral Realism"

That's because 62% of philosophers have never had to make difficult decisions.

One is not qualified to forward a theory of morality unless and until they have fallen into the gaping jaws of experience

Note the above is merely a statement from a survey done by
https://philpapers.org/
which is a reputable philosophical site.
PhilPapers is a comprehensive index and bibliography of philosophy maintained by the community of philosophers. We monitor all sources of research content in philosophy, including journals, books, open access archives, and personal pages maintained by academics.
We also host the largest open access archive in philosophy.
Our index currently contains 2,630,900 entries categorized in 5,723 categories. PhilPapers has over 290,000 registered users.

Obviously we must not accept the results of the above blindly must do further research for more verifications and justifications.

However, given the above views from the survey, those [like Peter Holmes, etc.] who insist that moral realism and objective moral statements are nonsense should think twice about their dogmatic views.
