A Possible Angle to Para-Normal Phenomenon of Soul

How does science work? And what's all this about quantum mechanics?

A Possible Angle to Para-Normal Phenomenon of Soul

Post by Aetixintro »

Just in case, every "soul" carries energy, this energy is detectable by infra-red imaging or something thereof when this is set in a very cold chamber/laboratory and finally the being that's loses its body and becomes a bare "soul" is a rat or an animal of lower denomination (I like elephants) then it may be possible to prove the "soul" as an alternative to Dr. Sam Parnia and Dr. Pim van Lommel!

What do you think? There's a clear logical structure to this procedure and it's no problem to set it up! Now, this probably shouldn't go (into the webpage, on my site) into the science section, but I'm such a daring person! Cheers! :)

Some fun from Wikip. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul:
"Research
Duncan MacDougall (doctor) determined the soul weighing 21 grams based on the average loss of mass in the six patients within minutes or hours after death. In his book Consilience, E. O. Wilson took note that sociology has identified belief in a soul as one of the universal human cultural elements. Wilson suggested that biologists need to investigate how human genes predispose people to believe in a soul.[page needed]Daniel Dennett has championed the idea that the human survival strategy depends heavily on adoption of the intentional stance, a behavioral strategy that predicts the actions of others based on the expectation that they have a mind like one's own (see theory of mind). Mirror neurons in brain regions such as Broca's area may facilitate this behavioral strategy. The intentional stance, Dennett suggests, has proven so successful that people tend to apply it to all aspects of human experience, thus leading to animism and to other conceptualizations of soul.[69]"

Footnote 69 is "Daniel Dennett. "The Self as a Center of Narrative Gravity". http://ase.tufts.edu/cogstud/papers/selfctr.htm. Retrieved 2008-07-03."

The 21 grams assertion/finding is just hilarious! Is it true? Booohhhhhh!  :D :D

Of course not, but it served as a title for an interesting film.

I generally agree with this notion. Examination of a soul, and such things as free-will or God, could all in principle be performed through looking at the energy (relationships) involved. In particular, apparent violations of energy conservation in the brain could point indirectly to a soul, something that kick-starts the movement of energy in our body via our brain (intention) that has no apparent cause (from our point of view).

The soul itself may be of energy (as we know it). It is also possible it could be something else that interacts (in the way that energy does) but is not itself subject to the energy laws. According to the energy laws, everything in the universe tries to balance its own energy with its surroundings, following paths or transforming to achieve this balance. Our soul may be something that can 'prod' energy along a different route from that it would normally follow, without changing the overall balance of energy (but changing the end result of where that energy moves to). This is something our brains can do anyway, but without some kind of 'non-energy soul' this is essentially complex feedback, very impressive, but still a slave to the energy laws.
