Ah well! You should stop him, right here in his tracks on Philosophynow before he turns into the next Hitler or Stalin.

I heard he has amassed quite a following with his charm and logic.
Play your cards right and you could become the father of world peace, and the 'define X' world movement. You've come a long way buddy :)

Hitler and Stalin had the right idea for world peace, but they were a bunch of under-achievers.

Their under-achievement resided in their commitments to glorifying and mystifying their own powers. No power can permanently rule history because the essence of history is change itself.

Heh. I was being facetious.

It's Atla, after all. His feedback is always derisive.

Facetious intent or not, what you wrote is worth taking seriously.

So long as it's taken less seriously than actions.

Best not to be impulsive or emotionally reactive but eventually everyone must act. Philosophy is good for reflecting before acting.

Action implies termnation.
Inaction implies non-termination (of thought).

Sometimes there is time to reflect and sometimes no time for reflection. Therefore it's good to rehearse or revise principles while there is yet time to do so.

Climate change becomes more and more urgently in need of addressing by acting. In a relative world the more reason we bring to bear on the problem, the better. Reason in the form of empirical knowledge and judgement is the best hope we have now that the time has come to act and act fast.
Unlike the terror aftermath of the French Revolution we should not abandon reason at any stage of action. We are not battle-mad .

In the inevitable absence of objective reality we are doomed to make our own reality.
