It's My Way or the highway...

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

It's My Way or the highway...

Post by Dontaskme »

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

To know God is to have eternal life. And, in response to Jesus' gift of eternal life, we should follow Jesus as both our Saviour and our Lord.

_____

Meanwhile: Humanity has already hatched a back-up plan, if the silly eternal life fable fails, which it will, any intelligent gent knows that, simply because only an intelligent life form knows that no life form on earth lives forever. . Welcome to the real ''my way'' where a dystopian transhumanist meets Aldous Huxley's Brave New World kind of way.

They already knew the future in 1969 . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKQfxi8V5FA

It's ok Jesus, I know you must be feeling sad now that we don't need you anymore, now that we've figured out all by ourselves with our own intelligence how to live forever, but just so you know, you will never be forgotten, we will always carry you in our hearts where you've always lived.

- As far as we know, no life form on earth lives forever.
- Those who have not encountered a forever life form and can’t imagine such, say that.
- If any have encountered such a life form, and somehow know it to be forever, they ain’t sayin’.
- After all, who would believe them.

Depends on where you draw limits.

Consider. When a cell divides is that death? One becomes 2, but which one is the new?

The mitochondria in every cell in your body are direct copies (by division) of a symbiotic organism that has invaded all life billions of years ago. You can trace mitochondria back to the primordial soup and they have passed from mother to child with no reference to the mother's nor the child's DNA.
So your mitochondria are older than all living things on earth, and are in no danger of going extinct, since they inhabit all living cells on the planet.

I'm talking about this 'eternal life'

What does the word eternal mean in the Bible?
1a : having infinite duration : everlasting eternal damnation. b : of or relating to eternity. c : characterized by abiding fellowship with God good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? — Mark 10:17 (Revised Standard Version) 2a : continued without intermission : perpetual an eternal flame.

I'm just saying, the idea is utter nonsense. We all know the self that we believe ourself to be does not live forever. Although there are plans to live longer through A.I. and that's utter Frankenstein mentality nonsense aswell.

Dead and Alive are human concepts, they are ideas formed of a mind. Concepts have no reality except in their mind made artificial conception, within the dream of separation.

Animal life forms do not know of such concepts, animals have no mind to form knowledge of being alive or dead, if they did they would be able to organise funerals for their beloved departed. Therefore, humans are just like little robots, their entire structure is build upon one belief after another, all stored away in the memory which plays out as a someone having a life story. It's all fake programming, and conditioning.

People believe in God not because God is actually real and true, but because people WANT God to be real and true, just like a small child WANTS father christmas to be real and true. And just like a child every God believer knows deep down that the idea of there being a god is just their wishy washy belief and nothing more. They believe because they cannot stomach the idea of being nothing more than just another bug on a very big bug planet.

Examples of bugs is very clear and evident. I mean look what nature did to the dinosaurs and the crocodiles. Those creatures must have thought their life really sucked. And then look what nature did to humans. Nature went over the top crude overload when it came to humans. Nature made a species that is capable of destroying every living thing on the planet. That's just sick.

Personal death is only a concept until experienced and after the experience, dead men tell no tales.

Personal life is a self-evident state of being.

Here's an interesting read relevant to your interest pertaining to the natural world, as does Sculptor's observation.

A New Theory of the Universe
Biocentrism builds on quantum physics by putting life into the equation
By Robert Lanza | March 1, 2007

“Consciousness cannot exist without a living, biological creature to embody its perceptive powers of creation. Therefore we must turn to the logic of life, to biologic, if we are to understand the world around us.”

- Because consciousness and life are co-arising, does the eternal life of “My Way,” also include eternal consciousness?

- If so, then this means eternal consciousness must always have a form, and the form may be undetectable to the senses of the current form.

- If not, then from a biocentric view eternity ends with the end of the body/consciousness entity, which would be the actual definition of eternity, rather than the imaginative definition.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

But the point which is being made is HOW is consciousness known to be eternal as you have stated above? unless the notion of ''foreverness '' the continual state of being that is without beginning or end can be known to be the same as a 'single fleeting moment in time' ?

What does this even mean? ( ''What must I do to inherit eternal life? — Mark 10:17'' )
if you know what it means, then describe in your own words what it means.
