American election.

Yes, but unreason's prerequisite is reason. Unreason is absence of reason. Mannie has done good work in the name of God so he is not entirely lacking reason.Sculptor wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 4:10 pmIf God created everything then God created the unreasonable too; i.e. Mannie CanBelinda wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 4:09 pmIf God created everything then God created reasonImmanuel Can wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 4:04 pm

Then you won’t have a problem answering the difficult question...does it bother you, are you ok with being born to a North Korean woman?

It's not a difficult question...it's an odd one. I'm not Korean. I have Koreans in my family, but I'm not one of them.
Maybe you'd better just explain your point...I'm missing it.
Re: American election.
The point is, if god knew before he incarnated as a North Korean baby, would he think that was ok, would he want that kind of life for himself?Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 5:30 pmIt's not a difficult question...it's an odd one. Re: American election.
I'm still missing it.
He was incarnated as a first-century Jewish baby, and his first bed was an animal feeding trough. He walked about with no place to lay his head, suffered hunger and thirst, having constant demands on him, and being abused by the authorities and rejected by the lay people. On various occasions, people tried to kill him with stones, or by tossing him off a cliff. Eventually, he was crucified.
Is that the kind of life you mean?

yes, very good example. That’s what I mean.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 5:42 pmI'm still missing it.

If god knew before hand what his life was like, would he want it, would he be ok with being tortured and humiliated?

Re: American election.
He did.
“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep...I lay down My life so that I may take it back. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back." (John 10:11, 18)
Re: American election.
I do not think doing good work in the name of god has anything to do with reason.
People do good, to do good, not for some false promise of a future reward.

I give Mannie the credit of doing good disinterestedly.Sculptor wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 8:09 pmI do not think doing good work in the name of god has anything to do with reason.

So he did know he would be horribly tortured and suffer pain both mentally and physically...Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 7:34 pmHe did.

But why would any sane rational intelligent person choose to want that imposed upon the self?
Intelligence would not want to play that game surely? A creator wouldn’t say yes let’s play this game of torturous life, yeah that’ll be great fun....and we will keep on doing it over and over again until we get so sick of it that we’ll nuke each other to kingdom come.
No intelligence would want that would they....now be honest Immanuel

No it is not a trick question.
