This gives a sense of being there.

I understand that even with the laptop blackout there's more than enough information to warrant an independent investigation to determine enough proof to convict the Pooka.
Then by all means press for an investigation, but that is different to this:

I suppose dictators are not all of them personally entertaining. But all dictators, ever since we got rid of divine right of kings and emperors, need to have some entertaining mystique whether deliberately manufactured or natural.

Joe Biden.
No sh*t, Sherlock.

Surely your powers of reasoning extend past that.
You are not in the conditions of a courtroom and if you were, reasonable doubt as to Biden's innocence of corruption, and his influence peddling, has been established in other ways.

Why investigate Biden instead of the Pooka?

btw: Don't rule the Pooka out. They are said to appear to lushes.

You may not know it, but there will be no investigation for which to press. The Democrats have the executive and legislative branches. The Democrats are not interested in an investigation, that is, unless The Big Guy starts feeling his oats and doesn't play ball. Only the people have an interest in the truth, not the Democrats.

Who do you think is writing the script that he reads for the world to hear?

Do you think The Big Guy appears to be heavily medicated every time he appears?

Then you would acquit. Reasonable doubt as to innocence is not grounds for conviction. If that is the sort of legal structure you want, you are in the wrong country.

It's grounds for investigation.

The Big Guy is Joe Biden.

He should be investigated.

You're not bright enough to follow my logic.

All that you've said, which isn't much, has been considered before you said it, in reaching the conclusion that:

The Big Guy is Joe Biden.
If that is the sort of legal structure you want, you are in the wrong country.
Save the crap talk. It insults my intelligence.

True enough, but presidents don't have a monopoly on idiocy. Politics is a mental disease, and government is much like an insane asylum, but the one's that are funniest are those who take them all seriously.

"Oh my God, Twitter has banned Trump's account, how is he going to communicate with his people?" they cry, wringing their hands in grief and terror. Or, "Trump is inciting riots," the rioters scream. Great fun!
Check out the horror show.

Not so much fun.

Dang. I want that no-prize. But I can't get that one.

movie: *serenity; character: mr. universe

*really just a big screen, expanded episode of the firefly series, a short-lived space opera that's appropriate for the times

I doubt if the rioters are screaming that. What is your alternative to 'politicians'' and 'politics'?
Not sure what you mean by an alternative. I have no interest in changing anything. I have exactly the same view as H.L. Mencken:
I believe in only one thing: freedon; but I do not believe in freedom enough to want to force it upon anyone.
As he wrote to Upton Sinclair:
So long as there are men in the world, 99 percent of them will be idiots, and so long as 99 percent of them are idiots they will thirst for religion (or ideologies, leaders and authorities), and so long as they thirst for such things [they will never be free]. I see no way out. If you blow up one specific faith, they will embrace another. [Altered by me.]
No one is going to save the world, or humanity from itself. No political system or social program will ever make individuals free or happy, and I have no interest in anyone's program or plans to do so. The only alternative is to live one's own life as well as possible to make one's self free.

Only to the extent that it’s one of the most influential forces upon a person’s life.

I don’t attend crowded events. Concerts, rallies, etc. Not a herd animal.

I don't find pain and suffering to be funny.

Since you do ...

Over.

It will influence you a lot less if you shut off your TV and take measure to protect yourself against that influence.

Very wise! The first rule of self-defence, "don't be there when it happens."

Either do I, which is why I evade it.

I don't enjoy seeing anyone else suffer either, but those who do, because of their own stupid choices, are just experiencing reality's justice [not the man-made nonsense called justice].

It's not other's suffering, I enjoy, it's the irony of those who cause so much trouble acting on the nonsense they believe that everyone takes seriously. I have no sympathy for those who suffer because of their own stupid choices.
