Literally everything in space is already owned and perfectly controlled by a government/corporate entity and when space stuff becomes bigger than Earth stuff, which will happen quickly because space has infinite room for viral expansion, Earth will be forced down exactly that path. when space travel becomes ubiquitous folks will go, in droves, I think

why stay when the possibility of all kinds of community and solitude are out there?

successful out-migration would leave the timid, the parochial, and the incapable behind, to be lorded over, not by capitalists, but statists
